Production on the new Star Trek movie begins

According to a press release from Paramount Pictures, principal photography began today in Los Angeles on the sequel to director J.J. Abrams‘ huge box office hit movie Star Trek. Returning to the roles they created in the first movie are John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoë Saldana, Karl Urban and Anton Yelchin. They’re joined by new cast members Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. The movie will be released to theaters on May 17, 2013 in 3D.

    Yessssssss. I saw this movie in regular theatres and IMAX (definitely meant for IMAX) at least 7 times. I think they did great casting and amazing story and CGI. If this is even close to as good, I’ll be going out of my way to see this.

    I like star trek, but the last one sucked, and I don’t expect any better from this one.

    I loved the last Star Trek. I thought JJ Abrams revitalized it completely. Looking forward to the next film.

    Hey Nobody important your name should read no brains or smarts of any importance , as if you thought the 1st Star Trek movie sucked u r in a very small and minimal minority as the movie was Awesome and the 2nd one will hopefully be just as good or better

    The last Star Trek had great special effects along with actors that were true to the original cast, but the plot was incredibly weak. Alternate realities/ time travel sunk the Enterprise franchise, so what did JJ Abrams do with this franchise? Introduce time travel/ alternate realities. Lame!!!

    I just got the captians log the ballance of terror reminds me that our soldiers were not affraid to fight for what they believe in movies that someday the world might be a differient place startrek does that for me yes I would love to help.here in orlando florida the weather is great.
