Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have postponed their wedding.
The couple – who began dating last year and got engaged on Christmas day – have revealed they were planning to tie the knot this summer but have had to put their plans on hold because of Joe’s upcoming movie Magic Mike XXL.
Sofia said: ”We wanted to get married this summer, but Joe will be busy working and promoting Magic Mike 2. We want to get married at a time when we can get away and make time for a honeymoon. So the wedding will probably be later this year.”
Joe will be starring alongside Channing Tatum, Adam Rodriguez and Matt Bomer in the sequel to the 2012 comedy drama in which they star as male strippers.
The True Blood hunk added to the New York Post newspaper’s PageSix: ”I would love to get married this summer, but I’m going to be too busy promoting my male stripper movie!”
Meanwhile, Sofia’s Hot Pursuit co-star Reese Witherspoon has revealed she’s been helping the 42-year-old beauty with plans for her big day.
She shared: ”We’ve already talked about the wedding, we have a lot of plans. I gotta help, I’ve gotta be there for my girl! So I’m excited.”
Reese also admitted she can’t wait for people to see them star alongside one another in the film in which she plays an inept police officer tasked with protecting a drug dealer’s widow (Vergara) from criminals and corrupt cops.
She told Extra: ”Oh my God! Sofia Vergara is so funny, as you know. But I can’t wait for people to see her in the movie. It’s just a great new character for her to play and I think people will love it.”
