Spider-Man 3 continues to rule box office

Spider-Man 3Spider-Man 3 held on to the top spot at the box office this weekend, earning an additional $60 million (all figures US) for a total take of $242 million. Breaking into the top five this weekend was the new thriller, 28 Weeks Later in the No. 2 spot, earning $10 million, while Georgia Rule, starring Lindsay Lohan and Jane Fonda, opened in third with a disappointing $5.9 million. Disturbia slipped to fourth place in its fifth week on the charts with $4.8 million, while Delta Farce, starring Larry the Cable Guy, debuted in fifth place with $3.5 million, rounding out the top five.
