The Umbrella Academy Creator/Executive Producer Steve Blackman chats about season 2 of the hit Netflix series, which debuted on the streaming service last Friday (July 31).

He reveals that events that happened during the pandemic became even more relevant to a certain plotline involving Alison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) this season, which came as a pleasant surprise to all of those involved. With the youngest cast member, Aidan Gallagher, having turned 16 on the set of season 2, Steve talks about whether or not Aidan would ever be too old for the role and have to be replaced.

In regards to the amazing Season 2 teaser trailer, he reveals whether the actors had direction or whether they just did their own thing for it.

Steve also mentions that there are plenty of Easter eggs this season for fans to find and talks about what the incredible fan reaction to The Umbrella Academy meant to him. The show is currently the No. 1 most watched show in many countries around the world since the second season debuted.

Finally, he tells me the locations where the season was filmed this time around and whether or not there will be a third season. ~Alexandra Heilbron
