Chicago Sun-Times columnist Bill Zwecker has written an article stating that many of his colleagues commented on how difficult it was to get Twilight star Kristen Stewart to “handle even the most basic questions about her role or the film.” He quotes a well-known Hollywood reporter as saying: ”It’s not like we were delving into her personal life, asking who she’s dating, or whether she’d been to rehab.” Zwecker says Stewart’s inability to answer coherently raised questions amongst the interviewers “over whether the actress might have been a bit over-medicated in order to face the parade of journalists.” Interestingly enough, TMZ.com published photos this week of Stewart, 18, and an unidentified companion passing a pipe back and forth on the steps of her L.A. home. Zwecker wrote: “From the looks of things — and the specific size and shape of the pipe — it’s pretty clear the duo are not smoking tobacco.” Another interviewer says he saw one of the male Twilight actors snorting cocaine just prior to an interview, which the actor twitched and figeted throughout. Not at all. She’s 18 – not like she’s done alot of interviews before. She answered every question intelligently. Real people get nervous – doesn’t mean they’re on drugs.
This is why I don’t like reading these things – someone is always trying to dig up dirt – find negative things – spread rumours.
She looks stoned to me. When she’s not directly answering a question, she’s either staring off into space or glaring at the interviewer. BTW, I think the actor mentioned in the article who was on coke is Cam Gigandet. Watch his interview with Tribute and you’ll see. He not only fidgets but every once in awhile, he makes a really weird head toss with a crazy expression.

I don’t think she was high or stoned. I think she is tired and nervous. This was a huge ontaking for these actors, it has to be overwhelming to come into the spotlight so fast and furious. So tiring to be asked the same things over and over when its new to you. It would not surprise me if she smokes alittle recreational pot now and then, lots of people do. Now in regards to Cam Gigandet….. yeah Im thinking he was stoned or high for sure..

I think she’s probably just a basically really shy and private person, and this is hard for her. She looks like she’d rather be anywhere but there. Honestly though, I think someone should get her some media training because there are moments when she just looks angry and semi-crazy.
It’s really hard to know whether someone is acting strangely based on 1 video clip. Since this is the 1st time I’ve watched Kristen or Cam being interviewed, I don’t know if I am seeing their usual personality, whether they are extremely anxious and/or under the influence of something.
My impression is that Kristen is very intense, that she doesn’t enjoy being interviewed, but that when asked a question, it is important to her that she give a real & honest answer. Cam seems more casual about it and more ‘out of it’, but I too might seem out of it if I was suddenly thrust in the spotlight and people wanted to know what I thought about details of my work. I know that interviews are part of their responsibility, however some actors are more comfortable playing a role than exposing their true selves publically.

She doesn’t really look stoned. She was more nervous than anything else, like, at the beginning she looked… unattentive, but she did a good job explaining, if it was my first or second time getting interviewed on TV (i don’t know how many times shes done it) i’d probably be the same way.
I really doubt that, lol, Kristen Stewart high? No way, every other interview she’s done I’ve never heard anyone comment on her like this. The girl is not like that. I didn’t think she sounded or looked stoned! She’s been doing soooo much promotion for this film, more so than probably any other film she’s done. She isn’t some painfully shy person who can’t answer questions. She has been doing this since we was a child. I’ve seen interviews with her from when she was 11/12 where she was perfectly comfortable. She has had media training that Summit provided beyond the fact she is the most practiced person in the cast because of her past work.

I didn’t read everyones comments, but I must disagree with Brian and Sheldon, most of everyone else I must agree with. She doesn’t look stoned, she has been in a fair few movies, but nothing as HUGE as Twilight.
I saw clips from ComicCon and it didn’t take a genious to tell that she was incredibly nervous and feeling shy (she had Cam to help her though).
Kristen is a shy person though and anyone can tell that she is doing her best to answer each question. The “Sonic boom!” was a good way to describe it.
Leave the stars of Twilight alone – that movie was a long process and it is obvious that they’re all still recovering from it.

Why is it that Twilight fans want the actors to be protected from normal shit? Like, if this was anyone but a kid from Twilight nobody would care if a columnist stated their honest opinion that the actress was high on drugs during the interview. I agree with Pam. Honestly, the funny thing about that interview is, I’m exactly like that lol. When I’m put on the spot, I get nervous, anxious and fidgety. Also, maybe shes got a little ADHD or something lol. You never know, it doesnt always mean someones on drugs. Also, even tho there are the photos of her smoking on her steps, it doesnt mean shes a hugeee pot head or anything. Maybe she was celebrating, having just released this very intensely followed movie. The amount of pressure that this 18 year old young lady is under right now, is probably hard for most people to deal with. Going from a girl whos used to her privacy, to having someone invade her world and take damaging photos of her. If she feels she needs to smoke some happy-hash than by all means, let the girl be. this is another situation where the media makes someone so big just so that they can knock them right down. I don’t see anyone taking pictures of other kids smoking up and posting them up.Just because she’s a celebrity it’s a big issue. I choose to ignore this and see her for the great actress she is. Quite frankly Kristen Stewart looks like an uncomfortable 18 year old forced to make the rounds, answering the SAME QUESTIONS innumerable times with the task of answering all of them like it’s the first time she’s ever heard them. And the fact that she’s a successful actor at her age I wouldn’t the least bit surprised if indulged herself in the occasional pot. Who doesn’t? What I saw from that interview wasn’t someone who was on drugs or drunk or anything. If anything she looks tired, overwhelmed and maybe a tad uncomfortable. And to be honest, who wouldn’t be? It’s hard to deal with being thrown into a fame (even more so for those reluctant, and she doesn’t strike me as the attention-seeking type) and expected to not let yourself show that your a bit tired and exhausted. I think she composed herself quite well, and maybe people should stop jumping to conclusions.
She’s been in the business since she was 12, if she’s still uncomfortable doing interviews, then there’s something wrong with her – it’s part of the job. Robert Pattinson hasn’t been in showbusiness nearly as long and he’s great in his interview. And Dakota Fanning, who’s much younger, is bright and cheerful during interviews. Ditto most young actresses who have been in a few movies (AnnaSophia Robb, Abigail Breslin). Maybe cause they’re not stoned?
every actor is different during interviews, they all handle lack of sleep a,d media coverage differently, one she isn’t stoned, drunk. just tired, and needs a break from the scrutiny of ignorant media crap. not everyone is great with a camera pointed at them during interviews, they maybe better with being front of one on a movie set because of the amount of editing that goes on in an editing room, with interviews its different, there are no 20 takes to an interview. sometimes there are a dozen interviews in one day, and that can take a tole on anyone, no matter if they are a profeesional actor/ director. stunt person or what have you. try getting interviewed a dozen times in one day , answering the same type of questioning, personal or otherwise and see how you all feel. enough of this trying to dig of horrors of peoples lives. be thankful they are entertaining us in movies and leave them alone and let them live in peace.. would you like it if someone scrutinized your lives and body language so much.. I didn’t think so..

Okay so I watched the window, for one, she doesn’t look like shes on drugs, second if she want to smoke weed let her. I feel drinking alcohol is a hell of a lot worse than weed and its LEGAL! You dont here of anyone getting in car accidents from being stoned or getting into fights or doing something they regret. No, you usually veg out on your couch watchin re-runs all day. But back to the interview she looked very worn out and she looked like she didn’t want to be there. I’m surprised that The Chicago-Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker ran with this story. He’s has absolutely ZERO proof that she was on drugs, aside from this video clip which has only shown people how tired and overwhelmed Kristen Stewart is. I also find it odd that he claims some of the interviewers saw another Twilight star “snorting cocaine prior to an interview” and yet the actor’s name isn’t even mentioned. At all. Not even once. And yet an ENTIRE article, a video, and a photo are used when he SUSPECTS (again, with NO proof) that Kristen Stewart is “on drugs.” I find it extremely unfair that Kristen is facing these allegations (and no one saw her smoke, snort, inject, swallow ANYTHING) and another cast member has allegedly been snorting cocaine before his interviews and his name isn’t even mentioned. It appears to me that Bill Zwecker needs to keep his assumptions to himself and give Kristen the benefit of the doubt. And these interviewers need to lay the hell off. They certainly have no right to judge these actors and make the assumption they have. It’s not their job. Just sit on your ass and ask your question. That’s it. Leave the gossiping and lying to the 15 year old girls. Grow the hell up.

As a former addict myself, I feel she shows several signs of recent drug use. She may not necessarily be stoned during the interview, but I suspect she has been using cocaine. She is extremely “twitchy” as well as detached and distant with the interviewer, as if she just can’t wait for the interview to be over. Hey, don’t get me wrong – it makes no difference to me. She’s so rude when the interviewer asks about Robert Pattinson, saying she doesn’t think he’s good looking and that she can’t stroke his ego anymore than it’s already been. If you watch his interview, he’s super modest so her answer is just plain rude. I hope she was on drugs, because there’s no excuse for being that rude to your co-star. I hope they replace her for the sequel, she even seemed stoned in the movie.

I got over 300 diffrent users come up, and alot of them saying that they were kristen stewart. So Matt, although you say that you saw pictures on her facebook of her doing drugs, you cant say for sure if that is her real account, or if it s just a poser who photoshoped pictures. i think that everyone should stop obsessing with this movie and try to do something else productive like volunteering their time to help drug addicts than trying to figure out if Kirsten does drugs or why Britney Spears goes crazy and shaves her head. I just watched that video and decided I need to comment. Kristen Stewart looks like she is under the influence of some sort of drug, most likely some sort of amphetamine or hardcore stimulant. The twitchy behaviour, unability to form complete sentences, and general sense of paranoia and discomfort she exhibits seem to allude to this. Anyone who is defending her and the rest of the cast is just as blind, shortsighted, negligent, and ignorant.
