Joey King began her acting career at age four by appearing in nationwide commercials for AT&T, Eggo, Life Cereal and McDonalds.

At age six, Joey made her way to television, appearing on television series such as CSI, Entourage and Medium. She has also lent her voice talents to the hit animated feature films Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and appeared in several stage productions.

Her first big break was playing Ramona in Ramona and Beezus (2010), opposite Selena Gomez as Beezus. She went on to star in motion pictures such as White House Down (2013), The Conjuring (2013) and Borealis (2016).

Later, she starred in the comedy Going in Style (2017) with Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin. She also played the lead in the teen rom-com The Kissing Booth (2017) on Netflix.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in the crime series The Act (2019). More recently, she reprised her role in the sequel The Kissing Booth 2 (2020) on Netflix, and also starred in The Lie (2020), a Blumhouse thriller on Amazon Prime Video.

Joey was born and raised in Simi Valley, California.
