This movie is confusing, silly and just plain BAD. Don't waste your time or money because you will be very disappointed. I had to walk out before the end. I've never done that before!
The plot will likely be incomprehensible to anyone who hasn't read the book and the acting is average at best.
Enjoyed "A WRINKLE IN TIME" because of the beautiful work put into the movie; and appreciate the message it brings (IF someone opens their heart to the message of love and kindness). Maybe people are too depressed or depraved to enjoy something that isn't just about violence and gore. Yes, there's violence involved in this movie -- It is violence that comes from darkness. Just one of the clues that a thinking, feeling person can learn from this movie. Learning never hurt anyone.
Honestly I give it a 0 star rating but that is not an option. I read the book right before the movie came out and I was very disappointed in the way the movie was manipulated with Hollywood's idea of what is wrong with our world, as if they have any idea of our reality. Can we please just entertain and stop with the political problems crammed into everything! I was ready to leave after 20 minutes. Just read the book and forget the movie!
Justifiably poorly rated.
A hodgepodge of confusion.
Visually and spiritually inspiring.
This movie is a faithful adaptation in both structure and spirit. This Meg IS Meg, and if you were a fan of hers, or were ever a teenager struggling with growing up and self esteem, you should like her. I thought the movie also did a better job of explaining the threat and the science than the book. And the ending and relationship between the parents is more emotionally full. The acting was also great, especially from the children. Witherspoon was a little weak, but when you learn about here character, you'll see why. I'm on board for the sequels. Give us the Farandolae!!
Cliche characters, sappy acting, boring... a real time-and-money waster. NOT for little kids. And this from an Oprah fan! : (
Too bad we can't rate movies like this no stars.
Disliked all of it
A foolish time-waster that belongs in the dustbin it's in.
Embarrassingly inaccurate to the intent of book. Add to that it is not even a good movie standing on its own.
Very hard to understand, not for young children
Don't Waste Your Time
I am 11 and had to watch this for a school report. Saying this movie is garbage is an insult to garbage.
I think this move was fine but not call is a garbage movie.
Too bad we didn't know beforehand that almost 92% of reviewers rate this as a terrible movie, as it was, saving our money and time.
Glad I did not read any of the bad comments before seeing this movie as it was better than what many are saying it is & has some very good teaching points which most likely just went way over these bad reviewers heads!
Worst Disney movie ever. Boring. No feeling. Bad acting (except for the main character who did a pretty good job). Could not wait for the movie to end. A total disaster.
An awful show. No ones going to pay attention to a five star review on a one star rated movie.
A weak movie- especially for children. The five star spammer can't even save this one, but then his focus is elsewhere.
Almost passed on seeing this movie because of the bad reviews and I would have missed out on a really good movie. The cast was fantastic as we're the special effects. The storyline was moving and the message is one every young person needs to hear. I brought my grandchildren and they loved it too. Don't pay attention to the reviews. Go see this movie. You will love it!
This movie is so amazing. The story is very relatable and it is very easy to understand. A lot of kids would love this movie how it teaches love and kindness with good and bad. Meanwhile the children's book storyline is boring, and you can't feel any emotions.
It's bad just BAD
Fabulous movie for those of us who cherish life and all it has to offer. This movie is a great reminder for all, especially children to remember to be kind, and TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES. I am a great grandmother and I loved the movie, so did my grandchildren.
It was great. Good kids movie. I don't remember much of the novel. Kids really enjoyed.
Insanely BORING , are u kidding me?, wasre of time and money
at least I got the book to enjoy, movie is bad and brain washing
I have never fallen asleep during a movie.....until now. Most boring movie on earth! Do yourself a favor and don't go!
My family enjoyed the movie. Positive & fun.
It had a deep meaning with lots of messages about good & evil. The reveal was to realize you are more than you think & what you do touches many.
Some much change from the book to the movie, didn't like that at all. Pace was super fast.
the second worst movie i've ever seen. Boring , confusing and certainly not a movie for kids.
This movie certainly lives up to it's one star rating. People should be walking pickets around the front of the theater to protest its continued existence. It's not even fit for DVD but perhaps we can send it to VHS and into the obscurity it deserves.
Really confusing movie, especially for my grandkids! The adult acting was terrible!!! And the adult costumes were terrible! Even my grandkids 6 & 8 mentioned how they did not like the movie at all!! They usually love every movie they see!!!!!!
Slow paced, felt like the scripted was put together too fast. The movie was all over the place. This was the worst movie ever made and a complete waste of time and money. The trailers made it seem like a nice fantasy movie. This was pile of garabage!!!
Slow paced and a disjointed story line. Overall a disappointing adaptation of a classic children's book.
Disappointed the book was soo much better
I have about six friends who went to see the movie, they told me not to go. It's halloween during Valentine's day kind of bizarre.
Beyond stupid.
Oprah looks like a tranny and it's about unicorns being really cool. That about sums up this drivel.
A Bastardized version of the book that removes the basis of the story and replaced it with tapioca pudding.
Great movie.
My kids loved this movie.
Wonderful movie. Is a fiction movie not a religions movie.
Absolutely disgraceful that they remove any trace of Christianity from this classic story.
Well done. Always liked the book. Movie is awesome.
one word..............BAD!!
Could have been so much more....
