Avril-Lavigne-Chad-Kroeger-creditCanadian singers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger made national headlines after their surprise engagement and wedding, but sources close to the couple told E!News their marriage is now in trouble. E!News reports the couple have been facing both personal and professional issues, including jealousy and the failure of their last album. “The main issue is this: When they met, they were in work mode. They were doing a collaboration and that’s where the attraction stemmed from,” according to the insider. “They’re finding that they’re not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things. There’s jealousy on both sides. She flirts, he flirts. She’s very insecure to begin with.”

Another issue plaguing the couple is Avril’s interest in settling down and having a family. Sources say Avril is unsure if she wants to start a family while the relationship is on the rocks. Regardless, the couple considers a divorce as their final resort. “I think for now they’re going to try to work it out,” the insider confirmed. ~Kelly Townsend
