Oscar-nominated cinematographer Matthew Libatique, pictured above with Bradley Cooper on the set of A Star is Born, was arrested and charged with assault at Poland’s Camerimage international film festival, which specifically honors cinematography.
Libatique, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the 2010 movie Black Swan, was an honorary guest at the festival. He was seen staggering, which prompted a call for medical assistance. When paramedics arrived, he allegedly struck out at both the medics and police. One paramedic suffered a broken tooth and other injuries during the altercation.
Krzysztof Wisniewski, an ambulance service official, told Polish TVN24 broadcaster: “The patient suddenly became aggressive toward medical rescuers, used offensive words and hit the head of the emergency medical team.”
Libatique, who appeared to be intoxicated, had facial injuries and was taken to hospital. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Thursday and faces a sentence of up to three years behind bars. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Bradley Cooper was taking the subway one morning to pick up his young daughter Lea from her school for lunch when he was held up at knifepoint by a young thug.
Well………..look at him. No surprises there.
When will people ever learn violence gets you no where, and drinking doesn’t help, it can make you more violent unfortunately
Dummy
I doubt it will effect his Oscar nomination chances, nor should it. Personal should not be mixed with professional.
Whose to say he didn’t have another medical condition, some present like a person is intoxicated. Many patients attack hospital staff in their delirium and pain so let’s not judge so fast, particularly as the first commenter did on his appearance (what has that got to do with anything?) Hopefully the trial will sort out what actually happened.
What do you mean look at him?Talk about judging a book by its cover.
He screwed up but we weren’t there.
Intoxication and a medical condition could have been the cause. Doesn’t anyone get a pass anymore?
I-m upset what’s all this for?
