American Hustle, Gravity lead 2014 Oscar nominations

The nominations for the 86th Annual Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning. American Hustle and Gravity lead the pack with ten nominations each, including a nod for best picture. Other films competing in the best picture category include 12 Years a Slave, The Wolf of Wall Street, Dallas Buyers Club, Captain Phillips, Her, Philomena and NebraskaMatthew McConaughey, who took home the Golden Globe award for leading actor in the drama category, is nominated for best actor in a lead role alongside Christian Bale, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leonardo DiCaprio and Bruce Dern. Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the Oscars, which will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2014. ~Marriska Fernandes
