Channing Tatum cast as Gambit in X-Men

Channing Tatum played his cards right as it has been announced he will be playing Gambit in upcoming X-Men movies. It was confirmed by X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner at the London premiere of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Channing will be introduced in the followup to Days of Future Past: X-Men: Apocalypse, but he will also star in a solo film. So far Channing is the only one attached to the latter project. It was hinted at in January that Donner was looking at Channing for the role. Gambit is a mutant from Louisiana whose power is to infuse objects with energy and have them explode; he mostly uses his power on cards.

Although Gambit was only introduced in 1990, he has become one of the most loved characters. Gambit is not the only X-Man to get a solo movie; Wolverine has being green-lit for his third solo film and there has also been talk about giving Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique a solo film. X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.  ~Dylan Paisley

    Good pick….though I am getting a bit super-heroed out….

He suits the role perfectly. For once Hollywood made a great casting choice. *cough* Affleck *cough*

He will make a perfect BATMAN, he is not new to acting and directing obviously and will perfectly transform into the powerful caped crusader. He has the height, the quiet internal toughness and the wit to outsmart another Superhero. People said the same thing about Michael Keaton and he was known for comedies. He pulled it off. This will be THE if not biggest movie of 2015 or 2016? Whenever it opens. NO Oscar contentions for Best Picture but movie lines will be full again.

Sorry Guys, my above comment meant for BEN AFFLECK in his new Batman Suit. Better have vents for washroom breaks…

This series is going downhill rapidly.

I don’t think the third x-men movie is going to be nice. Nice pick for Channing Tatum to play Gambit. The series is going downhill. There is not enough action that has been happening. Sequels ruins movies all the time.
