U.S. cable network Spike TV announced last week that it’s planning a Harry Potter tribute during its 2011 Scream Awards. Yesterday they officially confirmed that Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, who’s currently appearing on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, will be making a special guest star appearance at the tribute, in a press release that read: “Come one…Come all…Come dressed in all things Potter!! Calling all fans to join Daniel Radcliffe for the once in a lifetime farewell to Harry Potter!!!! That’s right, he will be there.” The event will be held at a secret location in New York City known only to the 1,000 fans who manage to get a ticket. The last installment in the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, made its appearance in theaters last July. The Scream Awards will air on Spike October 18th.
