Gwyneth Paltrow will receive the final star of 2010 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. Thirty stars were given out this year. Paltrow’s star will be unveiled by her Country Strong co-star, musical superstar Tim McGraw, during a special ceremony. The daughter of director/producer Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, Gwyneth made her movie debut in family friend Steven Spieberg’s 1991 film Hook. She went on to win an Academy Award in 1999 for her performance in Shakespeare in Love. She has two young children with husband Chris Martin. Country Strong opens December 22, 2010.

Congrats to her. As a country music fan, I’m looking forward to Country Strong.

I am a little surprised to hear that she didn’t have one already – anyone else?

I hope her mother has one, actually. Why should Gwyneth have one, except that she has a new movie coming out (good timing). BTW, the way to get one is to nominate yourself (or have someone else do it), come up with $25,000 and there you are.
