On the set of the upcoming superhero film, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, cast members Henry Cavill and Amy Adams, reprising their roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane from Man of Steel, became the most recent celebrities to participate in the charitable phenomenon that’s spreading the cold love around the world. Without relying on bathing suits or t-shirts and shorts, Cavill and Adams did one better than most actors: they appeared in full costume!
At first, it seemed both actors would get only a bucket each. After Adams was drenched from her ice bucket challenge, Cavill, being the man of steel fortitude he is, was thrown five more bucket loads, each seemingly bigger than the last. The actor’s only words were, “So cold” – proof that, at the end of the day, the super-soaked superhero is only human…a cold, wet human, although his skin didn’t turn nearly as blue as his new costume.
Cavill and Adams aren’t the only Batman v. Superman crew to take the challenge. In addition to the film’s director, Zack Snyder, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, both captured poolside videos of their acceptances, albeit not in costume. Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor – you’re next! ~Daniel Horowitz
