Bill Cosby found guilty on all three counts in retrial

Bill CosbyBill Cosby found guilty has been found guilty on all three counts of aggravated indecent assault in his retrial. The jury reached the verdict this afternoon after a day and a half of deliberations.

Former beloved TV star Cosby, 80, was charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault on Canadian Andrea Constand, who claimed she was drugged and assaulted by Cosby at his Philadelphia home in January 2004.

Cosby’s first trial for these charges ended in a mistrial last summer when the jury was deadlocked and unable to reach a unanimous verdict after six days of deliberations.

More than 50 women in total have accused Cosby of similar abuses. Several of those women who were in court when the verdict was read, cheered briefly.

Testimony during the trial was allowed from five other women, who told the jury they believed they had also been drugged and sexually assaulted in the 1980s by Cosby in separate incidents.

Constand, now 45, claimed Cosby drugged her and then raped her in January 2004. He was found guilty of penetration with lack of consent, penetration while unconscious, and penetration after administering an intoxicant.

The three counts are felonies, and are punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $25,000 for each count.

Cosby repeatedly denied all allegations against him, insisting his encounter with Constand was consensual.

Judge Steven T. O’Neill praised the jurors, telling them, “You have sacrificed much, but you have sacrificed in the service of justice.” ~Alexandra Heilbron

It’s about time. We’ll see if he spends anytime in jail.

Trump will do everything he can to pardon him.

Zero jail time. He’s 80. He’s blind. He will likely end up with house arrest. Honestly it’s a shame. Once “America’s favourite Dad” is no more.

One-day he will stand before God. God will be the judge. None of us were there so we cannot judge . It makes me sad to see his family go through his. He just lost his daughter so he’s being punished right here on earth. Where were all these women 30 years ago? Move on. Let this family have some peace. This family needs our prayers.

God sad vengeance is his. We’re to judge no one that’s for God to do. I’d hate to be a juror. Because God is going to judge them in the end, and his judgement is eternal. And who all was there when all this happened, just the two people and God! May God have Mercy on everyone involved.

The first two women who testified in an open court room deserve a medal for coming forward and being demeaned by the defense attorney. Regarding this sexual pervert: Drugging was easy since he had such a benevolent TV actor. The punishment is not equal to the crime; he ought to be striped naked & imprisoned in Graterford prison with other rapists. Given his ability to be Mr. nice-guy, he can service other felons and sexual predators confined in a living hell. I hope his income and assets can be put to good use by educating women of all ages to be wary re: taking drugs and/or drinks with someone who you only know by reputation. Wake up ladies.

I can’t believe he was finally found guilty!!! It is about time this sexual predator was found guilty of his crimes! It is nice to see these so called movie stars & their money does not allow them to get away with this crap!! He bragged over the years as a comedian how he used certain drugs to get women to do his bidding. That right there tells you he has done this for years and “HIS” people covered it up for him. It is just like the Harvey Weinstein case. Oh but people feel soooo sorry for him and his family. He is 80 we should let him off with a slap on the wrist. Puhleese…. give me a break! As one who has been thru this experience I know how the victims feel. Nothing worse to have others directing their anger at YOU the VICTIM and not BELIEVING you. Until you have been thru this nightmare you should not judge and automatically feel sorry for the perpetrator! What if this was your niece, daughter or mother? Would you be so willing to let their attacker off because he is 80 and in poor health?? It is too bad that society makes it so hard for sexual abuse to be told because of their status & money or he would of been caught years ago!! So no I don’t have one ounce of sympathy for him at all!

If all the others go down then what about Trump and all the allegations regarding sexually misconduct. He should not be untouchable just because he is the President. His who demeanor is deplorable. I pray he is not voting in for a second term!

I believe that most of the women were consensual but because this “wonderful”coutry that we love is based on law suits “lets wait 15 -30 some odd years to charge him i think rhe whole thing os all about the women being greedy wanting money and nothing else
Mind you i am a victim of rape but all of this literally is b.s. to me .let the old man love out hos last years on peace really 30 years ago leave him alone

Kaye, I couldn’t agree with you more. While Cosby was my hero since I was 10 years old, in my 60s now, I have to say, IF he is guilty, then he should pay for it now! 80, blind, in poor health, well, that doesn’t matter. What all those women went through, and I’m not 100% certain they ALL went trough it, but if even just 1woman, it was 1 woman too many, HE needs to face up and pay for his choices in life. I’m really sick over the fact that his family has to go through all of this too. I pray for them all and, yes, only our creator can hand down the ultimate punishment. Trump is a different story. He is truly pathetic and I hate to think but also realize, he probably will serve a second term. My confidence in the people in our country has been thinned substantially with his initial election and I’m afraid with his money, and maybe 1 or 2 ‘good’ things he may lay claim too, he most likely will be reelected. Kim, No, don’t let his last years be peaceful, he should atone for all the hurt.
