X-Men and more now on DVD/Blu-ray!

Mutants, talking dogs and Sharknados are being released into the world today, at least on DVD that is. One of this year’s biggest blockbusters, X-Men: Days of Future Past, is available for home release today. Director Bryan Singer returned to the X-Men franchise along with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult. The film also saw actors from the original films reprise their roles including Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry and Ellen Page. The film is set in the post-apocalyptic future where mutants are being exterminated by machines called Sentinels. Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) sends Wolverine’s (Hugh Jackman) consciousness back in time to stop the war before it begins, in an attempt to change both human and mutant history forever.
Also out today is Mr. Peabody & Sherman. The animated film follows the time-traveling adventures of a genius dog called Mr. Peabody (Ty Burrell) and his adopted human son, Sherman (Max Charles). Sherman accidentally creates a time rift when he travels back in time with his classmate Penny (Ariel Winter). Mr. Peabody and Sherman must then venture to fix it and put history back to normal.
SyFy Channel’s highest premiering film, Sharknado 2: The Second One, is also available. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid reprise their roles after a freak weather system unleashes Sharknados on New York City.
