Paul Gross aimed gun at co-stars

Paul Gross says he was a nuisance on the set of the new movie Gunless, in which he plays an American gunslinger stuck in a small Canadian border town. He told the Edmonton Journal that between takes, he would regularly swing his Colt 45 around on his finger, that is, when he wasn’t pointing it at unsuspecting castmates to practise his quick draw. “Usually there’s a code of etiquette on a set where you have guns, and I think I violated every rule there was,” Gross said with a mischievous grin. “I don’t know why people put up with me, but they did.” In spite of what he says, the rest of the cast, including his former Due South co-star Callum Keith Rennie, didn’t mind his antics, and immensely enjoyed shooting the western last summer in British Columbia. Gross admits that finally seeing the movie onscreen can be stressful. “Usually a lot of time has passed since you’ve done the work, and you kind of forget until you see it again. Then you think: ‘I wonder if that’s going to work. Is that bit funny? It seemed funny at the time.’ But the response has been really good so far. A review of the Canadian film Hyena Road, now on DVD and Blu-ray. Directed by and starring Paul Gross, the movie also stars leading man Rossif Sutherland, who plays a sniper as he and his team of soldiers in the Canadian Armed Forces try to get a road built.

ugh, I miss cap guns too. I remember as a kid having some that were metal, with a good weight to them, not plastic. And although upon a close look they wouldn’t be mistaken for real, they certainly weren’t bright plastic ‘fakes’.
Although it might be fun to do what Paul Gross did, there unfortunately have been some tragic accidents with set guns, including Jon-Erik Hexum and Brandon Lee. So there is a reason for those rules of “etiquette”.

Expérience, caractère, la capacité, sont relativement claires.
