Simon Cowell enthusiastic about becoming a dad

Simon Cowell, 53, gushed about his impending fatherhood at Tuesday’s red carpet premiere of One Direction: This Is Us in London. The reality show judge, who is expecting a child with his real estate mogul friend’s wife Lauren Silverman, told BBC: “Things are changing in my life right now, for the better. I’m proud to be a dad. It’s something I haven’t thought of before, and then, now I know I feel good about it.” Although Lauren is still in the middle of a divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband Andrew, Simon had no problem calling her a “very special girl.” ~Alfonso Espina
