Daniel Craig and Hugh JackmanJude Law‘s Hamlet opened to mixed reviews on Broadway this month, but was one of the top 10 highest-grossing shows for the week ending October 18, earning $904,914 last week at the box office. Meanwhile, A Steady Rain, starring Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig as two Chicago cops revisiting their troubled lives, shattered the record for highest weekly gross for any non-musical production ever on Broadway when it grossed $1,167,954 for the week ending September 20, but then broke its own record the following week, earning $1,276,106. The two shows have brought new life to Broadway, which last year stumbled due to the economic downturn.
