Jackson memorial service to air live

By Alexandra Heilbron on July 6, 2009 | 6 Comments

staples_centerMichael Jackson’s memorial service will air tomorrow at 10 a.m. Los Angeles time on NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment live from L.A.’s Staples Center. Los Angeles is anticipating as many as 700,000 Jackson mourners to descend on the city, although only people who have won tickets in an online lottery to attend the event in person will be allowed entrance. Roads around the Staples Centre will be blocked off and officials suggest that people watch the event at home on television.

winning tickets to a memorial…what will be next? They expect in excess of a million people from what I heard, and the police force are concerned they don’t have the man power or funds for this type of event

Well, it certainly would be something to win tickets, but I really don’t find this appropriate. It is a funeral, his family and friends should attend, and since he was known world wide, yes, maybe air it for his fans.

This all amounts to nothing but $$$$$$$$$$$$
Can you imagine the souvenir sales at this event? Disgusting!

if no one made the date of this funeral public, there wouldnt be such a problem with the police force thinking they cant handle it. i am aware that he was well known, but they should have kept his funeral quiet and if they wanted to broadcast it they should have taped it and then put it out at a later date so that all of this mess could have been avoided. why would his family allow his funeral to have tickets given away? thats sick.
