Joseph Gordon-Levitt may play Batman in Justice League

Joseph Gordon-Levitt may take on the role of Batman in Justice League by Warner Bros. The film will feature characters such as Superman and Wonder Woman.  “Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in Justice League as the new Batman,” according to HitFix. The Looper star claims he will only accept the role if the script is good, saying, “It always depends. I always pick projects that I want to be involved in for the same reason,” he said. “Is the script really good? Is the filmmaker a really inspired artist that I feel connected to? That’s what I always pay attention to.” ~ Luxy Hariharan

I think he’s a great actor, but lets see him bulk up too. But then again if we take it from the comics, he should be Nightwing now. Batman was an original member of the JL, and we all now associate Batman as Christian Bale and now retired…but still alive. What would be amazing is to get him out of retirement to start the league and have Nightwing take his place after an accident to Batman and the JLA forms and avenges Batmans death! Bam…movie idea!

I am a fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. As far as I’m concerned he’s excellent in everything he does.

I would love to play Batman but I’m too short…..maybe the Atom?!

The Character he played in The Dark Knight Rises (John Blake) doesnt actually exist in the comics. the nod only comes at the end when you hear his real name is Robin. I would hope that in the JL movie, they just reboot everything, Nolan’s Batman, is not the Batman of the JL.

Tharsos, I agree but because if Joseph Godron Levitt ends up in the JLA movie, we will all associate him with taking up the batman reigns and the real batman in his beginning of the franchise is Bale. so I think he should be Nightwing as a new cooler version of ‘Robin’ even though that name is mostly associated with Dick Grayson. But this is sort of an alternate universe anyway.

I have yet to see him in the last Dark Knight film (I’m buying it next week), but I will say he was exceptional in Inception.

the dude has acting chops, but, much like the horrible miscasting of tom cruise as the over 6′ jack reacher,he’s just too short in stature to be believable as a major force in fighting criminals, unless they are all in the same body type. physically,he just looks to thin for it,but thespian-wise,he would rock the part.

They could just use the same “Universe” as Nolan’s films and not cast him as Bruce Wayne. I would be lazy enough to do that lol

I love Joseph Gordon Levitt and I’ve been a fan of his since his Angels in the Outfield days, I honestly think he’s one of the best actors under 35. But I can’t picture him as Batman especially now with his role in the Dark Knight Rises. Then again it was hard to picture Michael Keaton and Heath Ledger for their respective roles and they killed it. So maybe JGL can too.

That post above was not from me. I lined up and saw that Batman movie on opening night, day after the tragedy. Horrible final installment to the trilogy, but JGL would actually be reasonably awesome in a JL movie! At least it would ensure some of the continuity that helped “The Avengers” do so well. DC movies are a mess right now, hoping Superman can redeem them 🙁 and please DO NOT put Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern in JL!
