Kanye West blames Taylor Swift

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 26, 2010 | 24 Comments

During a concert at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom, ego-inflated rapper Kanye West went on a 10-minute, mostly incoherent rant criticizing Matt Lauer of the Today show, George Bush and even Taylor Swift — for not having his back after he barged onstage at the VMAs, interrupting her acceptance speech to say Beyoncé should have won instead. He complained: “Taylor never came to my defense in any interview and rode the wave, and rode it and rode it!” He also said about the incident: “If I wasn’t drunk, I would have been onstage longer! Like, am I the only one who’s not crazy here?! Are you f***ing kidding me?! And they run with it…. Don’t f***ing tell me what I should do. I’m my own man!” He went on to say that he was just “stating a blatant truth – an obvious truth.” West also boasted that his record sales have not taken a hit: “To do an album after the year that I had after all the ‘your career is over’….and ‘you’ll never make music again’ and to come back and do 100,000 the first day digital alone, to be slated to do 600,000 in the first week — and I don’t talk about the numbers — but that number says is that people want me to keep making music and for me to not give up.” [Poll=235]

It is really time for him to shut up before he digs himself any deeper. Every time he opens his mouth, he shows that he’s even stupider and more self-centered than anyone could have imagined.

How was Taylor Swift supposed to “have his back”? By saying, “you are right, Kanye. I shouldn’t have won. Give it to Beyonce instead. I am unworthy”? Lucky for him a good character isn’t required to sell records — though he doesn’t talk about the numbers, so it shouldn’t matter.

The man is a total pinhead.

Its such a shame to see a man with so much talent be so much of a jackass.

  5. Terrence • November 26, 2010 @ 2:57 PM

    What a total douche.

He’s really talent, guess he has to lack in something or it wouldn’t balance out life…

In the dictionary…”DOUCHEBAG” is sounded phonetically as “Con Yay West”.

Is this vain, self centered, little brat for real?!

    Now he blames Matt Lauer,George Bush,Taylor Swift,booze.

He claims he’s not being crazy, and don’t you F*ing tell him what to do, he’s his own man! Afterall he’s the only one who knows the blantant/obvious truth.
And he seriously believes that people want him to keep on making music and not to give up.

Clearly, we don’t need a psychiatrist to diagnose this guy as delusional.
    Get psychiatric help jackass!

What a great pic to represent Kanye. There are so many other deserving musicians out there that deserve a chance to be heard yet the industry keeps supportihg idiots like Kanye. No wonder record sales are on the decline.

Freedom of speech is a slippery slope under the best of conditions. When you have a black man surrounded by black “yes” men/women and publicly criticize white people (Bush, Laurer. Swift) not for them discriminating against Kanye or African-Americans but for being successful white public figures, when does the content of Kanye’s message stop being protcted by freedom of speech to being blatantly racist or slander which is against the law. I hope he is wearing shoes with good grips.

I cannot believe that I have just wasted 2 minutes of my life by reading an article about Kanye. There is absolutely nothing much to say about a complete moron, who creates publicity by indirectly promoting racism, and who the heck is buying his albums?, the man has no talent at all. I just cannot believe I wasted another minute of my life typing this.

To quote a line from John C. Maxwell’s book, ‘Failing Forward’: You’re only a failure when you start blaming other people.

The biggest mistake was the people who back him continue to endorse him. Children like Cane, and I mis pronounced his name purposely, are the reason they should have curfews, restictions on all his activities and seriuos alcohol rehab. No need to add fuel to the fire, he’ll burn himself up with no help from anyone. Keep on truckin ……… you loser.

Kanye West, u are poor guy. u may b talented, but it’s not enough for u to go further after what u have done, i’m sorry for u

Here’s one bright thing about Kanye West getting all the attention: I can’t remember the last Lindsay Lohan article. Maybe Kanye isn’t as big a jerk as he’s letting on, maybe he’s trying to take some of the spotlight off Lindsay so she can have a better chance at getting better.

  17. JOHN • November 28, 2010 @ 3:59 AM

Love his music but in all seriousness his head is whack! What the hell is he ranting about? Does he even realize the filth thats coming out of his mouth? Kanye’s got mad talent but seriously he is smoking way too much s&!t.

  18. Germain • November 29, 2010 @ 3:26 PM

You poor, missguided drunk idiot. Talented or not, individuals who have no respect for others don’t deserve fame and fortune.

  19. L1feless • November 29, 2010 @ 11:53 PM

I find it concerning that some many people here are willing to overlook this individuals actions and still buy or support his career. The only way to remove and hopefully deflate this idiots ego is to simply IGNORE him. I never liked him and never liked his music.

  20. gypsy • December 2, 2010 @ 1:50 PM

I like his music, and I agree that Swift did not deserve that award!!!Freedom of speech is great, keep on trucking dude!!

  21. Queenie • December 24, 2010 @ 2:21 PM

Freedom of speech yea, but he fully interrupted her speech which was sooo rude. She should have given him a swift kick off the stage! Everyone knows Beyonce is better without him saying it. Why didn’t he just let the kid enjoy her moment? And now he’s saying Taylor should have backed him up on it?? WTF??? AHAHAHAHAAH he’s on something!!!!

  22. malissa • March 16, 2012 @ 6:47 AM

what a jerk embarrasing taylor like that if i were her i would kick him right off the stage.

  23. malissa • March 16, 2012 @ 6:48 AM

  24. malissa • March 16, 2012 @ 6:51 AM
