Amy Adams couldn’t turn down the personalized video invite she received from Kermit the Frog and the movie’s co-writer and star Jason Segel, to join the cast of The Muppets movie. She admitted during an onset interview with Pop Sugar: “When I heard they were doing a new one I was really excited. Jason sent me a DVD where he and Kermit were inviting me to be part of The Muppets. It was really cool. Once Kermit asks you to do something it is really hard to look at him and say, ‘No.’ So I was hooked!” For his part, Jason revealed: “I wrote [the part] for her. She was in my mind from the beginning. I mean this woman can do anything. But she’s able to do this wide-eyed naivety that is not part of her personality in real life. She’s one of the most smart, on top of it women I’ve ever met.” The Muppets opens November 23, 2011. Watch the trailer by clicking here.
