Kirstie Alley dropped by partner on DWTS

Kirstie Alley’s dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, dropped the former Fat Actress star during their performance on Dancing with the Stars last night when his thigh gave out to her weight in a muscle spasm. They quickly picked themselves up and continued the dance, which was a tribute to her late parents. The celebrities were performing songs that had a connection to their past, and Kirstie picked Over the Rainbow, saying, “This song depicts the most turning point in my life. The song depicts the hopefulness after the despair.” Kirstie’s mother was killed by a drunk driver in 1981. After the dance was over, Maksim apologized, saying, “My thigh just gave out – I’m so sorry.” He gallantly insisted the fall had nothing to do with Alley, explaining: “Any dancer knows, it has to do with muscle strain. It had nothing to do with her.” The judges gave Kirstie an impressive score of 21 points despite the fall, with  Len Goodman telling her: “Dancing is a bit like life — it’s about overcoming adversities and you did that, while Bruno Tonioli exclaimed: “Once you got up it was better than ever!”

That poor guy, he was limping around afterwards during all the interviews.

Sooooo that’s the loud bang I heard last night. I though a plane crashed near my house 🙂

Sonic boom! Nice try on his part but who can blame him — she’s gotta be over 200 lbs. I’m sure she’s a nice lady but it’s not healthy to be that overweight.

really, we all come in differant sizes, just because one might weigh 200lbs does NOT mean their not healthy. I personally think the woman can dance. Your go Kirsty
