Lady Gaga sings for newlyweds

Lady Gaga surprised a newlywed couple by serenading them at a London bar. The impromptu performance occurred when Ewan and Julie Searle, both 25, were toasting their recent wedding vows at The Raven in West London. The pair – originally from New Zealand – were shocked when Gaga arrived in the bar and asked what they were celebrating. “It was unbelievable. We were toasting our future by drinking champagne and beer with some guys we met in the hostel we were staying at,” Julie told British newspaper The Sun. “I said…‘We got married.’ She said, ‘That calls for a song.’ She asked if anyone could play the guitar. A French friend called Sam — one of the guys from the hostel — rushed back to get his. After he came back he spoke with her and her people and they played ‘Gimme Shelter’ by the Rolling Stones for us in the back room.”  Julie was thrilled with the performance and says her only regret is that she didn’t get to capture the performance on camera as Gaga’s team prevented them from capturing the magical moment. “She was really cool but her entourage stopped anyone recording it. I would have liked a reminder, but then I’m sure I’ll never forget it,” beamed Julie.

Too bad her bodyguards were so heavyhanded. What would it have hurt to let them videotape her? Then everyone could have seen it on youtube and appreciated her little bit of kindness.
