Lady Gaga recently announced that she’ll be taking a temporary break from the media spotlight, a bold move for someone whose successful career has been fueled by attention from the press. The pop princess will be appearing in an upcoming episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter and in the interview, Gaga reveals the surprising shift in attitude, saying, “Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time…No press, no television. If my mom calls and says, ‘Did you hear about…’ I shut it all off.” She also says she pays no attention to tabloid stories, claiming, “I don’t read a damn thing.” Many fans are wondering if this means no more tweets either, especially since she just became the first person to hit upwards of 20 million Twitter followers, beating out Justin Bieber and Katy Perry. She’s also recently been rumored to be considering motherhood. Could this be the beginning of the end for Gaga’s music career?

The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil said TV presenter Piers Morgan almost drove her to suicide last year. She’s one of many who have a complaint with him.
YAWN
Gawd, if her having a baby will change her ridiculous “drag queen like” fashion and her strange attention seeking attitude than I say go ahead Gaga.
Bye Gaga. You were kind of becoming yesterdays news anyway. Have fun with your little Gaga baby and see u again when u decide to end your “vow of silence.”
Although I like some of her songs, I’m not a fan of the person behind them, so not sad news to hear. I think she’s kind of a freak anyway, so I won’t miss the Gaga coverage. Sorry fans.
I saw the interview. Her saying that she does not plan on speaking with anyone for a long time seems like it is in reference to other interviews, which she does not do a lot of anyway. The “no press, no television” comment was in relation to her not paying attention to what is being said about her in the tabloids; it was a completely different question, and part of the interview. That’s not to say that it’s not true, just that the article above is a bit skewed.
It’s only a matter of time before she does something ridiculous again and then she’s right back in the middle of the media spotlight. I give it less than a month
OMG I guess now I need to become religious. there actually IS a God. Prayers do get answered.
