New movies in theaters – Annabelle: Creation, Wind River and more

Whether screams, tears or laughs are your thing, the weekend box office is sure to have whatever you’re looking for with the release of films such as Annabelle: Creation, The Glass Castle, Wind River and The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature.

Annabelle: Creation – Twenty years after their young daughter’s tragic death, Samuel (Anthony LaPaglia) and his wife Esther (Miranda Otto) welcome a nun and several orphan girls to stay at their home. One of the orphans comes across a girl in one of the rooms and believes her to be the Mullins’ daughter. Soon, the orphans become the target of a possessed doll, Annabelle, as she sets her sights on the children and turns their shelter into a storm of horror. Opening wide today. The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature – When the evil mayor of Oakton decides to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park in its place, Surly Squirrel (Will Arnett) and his ragtag group of animal friends need to band together to save their home, defeat the mayor, and take back the park.
