Non-Stop soars at weekend box office

The new release Non-Stop starring Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore took over the top spot at the weekend box office, earning $30 million and a 4.5 Tribute star rating from our readers. Another new movie, Son of God, debuted close behind in second place with $26.5 million, enjoying a high rating of 4 stars from Tribute fans. Last week’s top movie, The LEGO movie, dropped to third place, with a 3.5 star rating at Tribute.ca and an estimated $21 million in box office receipts for a total four-week take of $209 million. Now in its fourth week, The Monuments Men climbed back up a spot to fourth place, taking in an additional $5 million and enjoying 3.6 stars at Tribute.ca. Rounding out the top five was Kevin Costner‘s 3 Days to Kill, dropping three spots from last week’s second place finish and earning an additional $4.9 million with a Tribute.ca user rating of 3.6 stars.

Included in the Top 10 were  RoboCop, Pompeii, Frozen, About Last Night and Ride Along. For full box office results, click here.
