Ozzy Osbourne hates Christmas

By Alexandra Heilbron on December 23, 2009 | 29 Comments

Ozzy OsbourneOzzy Osbourne says the best Christmas he ever spent was in the hospital, when he was in a coma following an accident. He admits: “I hate Christmas, I hate it. Everything stops. When I used to drink it was a good excuse to get drunk for two weeks. Now I just hate it. I have to unravel all these presents. What a waste of paper!” He talks about Christmas 2003: “I had a Christmas number one [his remake of the Black Sabbath song “Changes” with daughter Kelly]. The only thing is that I was in the hospital. When I did that thing with Kelly, I then nearly killed myself in a quad bike accident. I was in a coma for awhile, so I missed Christmas, thank god. If I want to miss Christmas I’ll get on my quad bike and break my neck again.” ~Alexandra Heilbron

Bah Humbug to Ozzie. Christmas might be the only time some people sometimes make an effort to be nicer or more considerate to each other. Sadly, if not for Christmas, most people would never bother. I’m quite sure the Lord had never meant to imposition Ozzie Osbourne by being born. Maybe if Ozzie could focus on the real meaning of Christmas instead of considering that everything is all about him for a change, he might actually get to like the opportunity to focus on something or someone besides himself for just once.

Ozzy is seriously the man. He may hate xmas, but we all love him!

Well this to me proves it, Ozzy Osborne is a complete and raving Nutcase. It’s got nothing to do with getting drunk it’s the day that Christian’s celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour. If Mr. Osborne does not enjoy that day even with all his fame and money keep it to himself. Many people do not enjoy this day, but we don’t go sreading the feeling around as who cares. By the way Dan, we do not all love him.

Yish! I thought he always lived in a coma, guess the accident put him in even deeper from the sounds of it. Somebody! help him to get back there, JUST FOR CHRISTMAS!!! Get him out of the way while we celebrate the wondrous birth. His family should hold off the “gifts” he hates so much – gifts are lovely but it’s much more than that – it’s the feeling of love and goodwill that the celebration brings forth in most, especially in that lovely family he has. What’s to hate?

Interesting……Oz says he was in a coma and missed Christmas….then says ‘thank god’……I tink if Ozzie’s mind ever recovers from his years of abusing it…he would find out about the real meaning of Christmas and THEN he could say Thank GOD!!

michael, hendie, well said….it’s sad to see all the NUTcases trying (but thankfully failing) to dampen what should be a wonderful celebration with their issues….

I’ll express my unabashed support for the man, the legend, the godfather of metal..I took it to mean he’s not fond of the consumerism associated with the holidays. I’m sure the last thing he needs is more ‘stuff’. He may or may not care for the significance of it either, but you don’t have to be a ‘believer’ to get in the spirit of x-mas.

For once, demigod says something that makes sense (and isn’t sexist. I guess the article would have to be about a woman for that) unlike the “NUTcase” who commented above him.

demigod, I couldn’t agree more, I think you got this one exactly right.

  13. demigod • December 24, 2009 @ 2:22 AM

Nance, you’re better off not saying anything at all.

I’m with you Ozzy! I hate Christmas too! Bah Humbug! The best Christmas I spent was on a cruise in the Carribbean, not one bit of holly in sight!

  15. Margie • December 24, 2009 @ 12:17 PM

Hendie..you said it all. If he doesn`t believe in what it`s all about then he should just shut up and sleep all day. By the way..it`s CHRISTMAS. There is no such word as XMAS. I don`t celebrate XMAS either…just the birth of Jesus with family, friends, music, good food and giving of gifts. What`s not to like???

  16. Nancy • December 24, 2009 @ 1:48 PM

Demigod, you’d like that, wouldn’t you? Bet you’d like to b!tchslap me too when I don’t do as you say…as a woman should do as a man says, right? 😉 LMFAO!

  17. DeMamaBee • December 24, 2009 @ 3:45 PM

I love Christmas…family, friends, sharing, giving, happiness, faith, compassion and many other attributes that bring out the best in people.

I also believe that if a person feels they are pressured to buy into the commercialism (as greed also rears its ugly head) rather than feel the spiritual connection then it would seem onerous indeed.

Ozzie says he hates Christmas…but what does he really hate…the commercialism and greed or the spirituality and goodwill.

Thank God we are all entitled to an opinion 🙂

  18. demigod • December 24, 2009 @ 8:29 PM

    Funny you’d mention ‘b!tchslap’.
I won’t stoop to your level.

  19. Nancy • December 24, 2009 @ 8:56 PM

Why? Who have I b!tchslapped? Anyways, back to the question I asked you…”I bet you’d like to”…wouldn’t ya? I mean, after all, a woman outta listen to a man when he tells her to do /not do something, right? LMAO.

Oh I almost forgot, demigod, I just put a special little treat for you attached to my name. Enjoy! All man-hating aside…MERRY CHRISTMAS! Have a good one.

  27. gypsy • December 27, 2009 @ 10:01 PM

There are valid reasons for people who dislike Christmas. Many, many years ago I had a babysitter who could not handle this time of the year, when I asked her why I was told a very sad story. The girl was 13yrs old,12 at the time this happened. On Christmas eve her family were out visiting friends, there were 9 kids and her parents. They went home early to bake and do the turkey. The dad decided to take the presents over to his family,he took her 7 brothers with him so the 2 girls and mom could have some peace while preparing the food.Well 3 hours had passed, and they were almost done when there was a knock on the door, the police were there. They were told there was an accident, seems a drunk driver had hit their car head on and her dad and 7 brothers were killed instantly. Now that would be a Christmas memory that would be very hard to get over!!!Perhaps Ozzy has one, that he does not care to share with others!

Speaking of which, gypsy, I bet Brittany Murphy’s mother will never enjoy the Christmas holidays again after what happened.
