Ryan Reynolds gutted over Zayn Malik’s 1D exit

Ryan ReynoldsRyan Reynolds ”refuses” to believe Zayn Malik has left One Direction.

The 22-year-old singer quit the chart-topping group last Wednesday and the Woman in Gold star has mockingly claimed he’s heartbroken by One Direction becoming a four-piece.

When asked how he felt about Zayn’s departure in a Twitter Q&A, he said: ”I refuse to believe this. That’s like Taylor Swift leaving Taylor Swift.”

And it’s not only Ryan who was gutted on hearing the news, Kevin Hart joked he was struggling to continue with the premiere for his new movie, Get Hard.

On being told the news by an E! reporter, he replied: ”What? … It’s hard for me to do a premiere with that type of news … Message to Zayn: why?”

Zayn previously revealed he decided to walk away from 1D – also comprised of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson – because it was not ”real” to him anymore.

He said: ”I did try to do something that I wasn’t happy doing for a while, for the sake of maybe other’s people’s happiness. And that was mainly the fans. I only ever tried to do it for the fans. I’m only upset [because] I feel like I may have let them down in some sort of way. That’s the main thing that I don’t want to happen. It’s not that I’ve turned my back on them or anything. It’s just that I can’t do that anymore because it’s not real to me.”
