Sacha Baron Cohen has dropped out of playing Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991, in GK Films’ upcoming biopic. Cohen was first attached to the starring role of the late iconic British rock star back in back in 2010. According to Deadline.com, Cohen left the project over creative differences with the band’s surviving members – Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor – who want the film to be PG-rated as opposed to the gritty, R-rated pic Cohen envisioned. ~Alfonso Espina
