The creator of three animated series that are broadcast on Sunday evenings with
The Simpsons, namely
American Dad!,
Family Guy and
The Cleveland Show, Seth MacFarlane has never before lent his voice to a Simpsons character. That lacuna in his prolific career will be filled on May 19 in the concluding episode of the season. In the episode "Dangers on a Train," the
Ted director will play Ben, a man whom Marge meets online on a dating site for married women. The finale will also comprise a second episode entitled "The Saga of Carl Carlson," guest-starring the Icelandic ambient/post-rock band Sigur Ros. Before the season draws to a close,
The Simpsons will reserve a part for singer Justin Bieber on its
next episode, to be aired on Sunday, May 12. Over the course of this 24th season, the dysfunctional family from Springfield has also met with Anne Hathaway, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Zooey Deschanel, Benedict Cumberbatch and Edward Norton.
The Simpsons will be back on Fox this fall for its 25th season.

That’s cool that he lent voice to Simpsons. Afterall he’s even basically admitted in a Family Guy episode that he stole the format idea from them. Seth does rock.
