Shailene Woodley wants to do her own stunts

Shailene WoodleyShailene Woodley, 23, who stars in the Divergent franchise, insists that despite using body doubles when shooting trickier scenes, they aren’t afraid to get physical in their roles.

Describing the moment in which her character Tris, flies through the air into Kate Winslet’s character Jeanine, Shailene said: ”I took her out. That’s actually a very interesting shot. They were both stunt doubles, because insurance wouldn’t let us do it. Those bodies you see are not mine and Kate’s bodies, but they took their face off and put our face on. So, there’s no harm done to either us, although we were both game to do it. There weren’t any injuries on this movie, but you always want to push it, or at least, I always want to.”

The brunette beauty added she isn’t afraid of getting bumped and bruised on set as she knows there is no real threat to her well being. She told News Review magazine: ”Stunts guarantee safety in a certain manner and you get to have an adrenalized thrill ride without the repercussions of getting hurt. You can get bumped or bruised, but the worst that would happen would be you break something. There’s no life-or-death situations.”
