Spider-Man 3 actress commited suicide – or murdered?

Lucy Gordon at the Spider-Man 3 premiereSpider-Man 3 actress Lucy Gordon, 28,  who played reporter Jennifer Dugan, was found dead, hanging from the ceiling in her Paris apartment on Wednesday, two days before her 29th birthday. The London Telegraph reports that her boyfriend, who claimed to be asleep in the apartment when she hanged herself, is now under investigation after neighbors told police they heard the couple arguing Tuesday night. The British actress also played Isabelle in The Four Feathers opposite Heath Ledger and Caroline Mitchell opposite John Cusack in Serendipity. She stars as Jane Birkin in Vie Heroique, a biopic of singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg currently screening at the Cannes Film Festival. An autopsy will take place to formally establish the cause of death.

Well most likely the autopsy will reveal that hanging was the cause of death, but proving whether or not it was suicide or murder will be the clincher, especially without any eye witnesses. So young, and so tragic with success behind her and her whole life ahead of her. Sad.

  2. Spartacus • May 22, 2009 @ 10:18 AM

    are you kidding me
    i read the report
    it’s a slam dunk
Boyfriend is some serious ass trouble here !!!

  3. jim • May 22, 2009 @ 11:30 AM

i think she was murdered but who

  4. Dan • May 22, 2009 @ 11:58 AM

Murder or suicide it just prove one thing: even hollywood star have there problems when the spotlights goes off and, unfortunetely, some choose death as a mean to solve those problems.

Still it’s very sad so I hope the investigation will told who did it (if it’s a murder) but most important WHY???

  5. Jason • May 22, 2009 @ 11:58 AM

If there are no marks on her body (or his) or drugs in her system. Cause of death should be listed as suicide.

  6. stef • May 22, 2009 @ 12:14 PM

i cant believe the boyfriend knows nothing He probably killed her!

  7. stef • May 22, 2009 @ 12:16 PM

I am not too sure who did wht bt Im sure the boyfriend knows more than he says !!!!!Possible to murder !

  8. Tamara McNeill • May 22, 2009 @ 12:44 PM

It looks to me like murder. I can’t imagine that the boyfriend slept so soundly that he didn’t hear anything. When a person hangs herself, usually she has to put up a chair, step on it and then kick the chair off and that would have made some sort of sound. The only way he couldn’t have heard anything would be for him to sleep with earplugs or to be deaf. This definitely looks suspicious. Too bad that such a fine young woman with a good career in front of her should die so young especially one with so little gossip on her. You would imagine more a hard-partying, clubbing, drug-addicted celeb being found dead.

  9. crystal • May 22, 2009 @ 3:52 PM

    her boyfriend did it

  10. Jo-Anne • May 22, 2009 @ 4:07 PM

you gotta love that “hang him already!” public….

I mean, to actually sleep through the sound of a chair being pushed away…iron-clad…

  11. Nancy • May 22, 2009 @ 4:44 PM

Oh, did your “buddies” down at the local cop shop help you out with that comment, Jo-Anne?

  12. James • May 22, 2009 @ 4:53 PM

oh noes! the Spider-man curse strikes again and claims another life! who will be next? I hope no one else is dies.

  13. Cara • May 22, 2009 @ 5:12 PM

Stop assuming her boyfriend did it and stop believing everything you hear in the media. YOU weren’t there. You don’t need a chair to hang yourself. Use your heads.

  14. Jo-Anne • May 22, 2009 @ 5:20 PM

actually, I think they are tied up tonight Nancy, on their way to comfort a spinster drowning her sorrows watching Big Brother reruns…

    hey…is that a knock at your door….

Way to slam the gavel when you have no clue.
I have kids and they make a hurricane wind sound quiet… my boyfriend, sleeps right through it. So does my brother =)

/facepalms at all of this nonsense.

PS Trina did it… I saw her while I was stalking her.

  20. Tanya • May 22, 2009 @ 7:08 PM

ok why is it no thinks the obvious…the paparazzi must have pictures of who did it..they have pictures of everything else…if they dont have any pictures of it…then it was them….this is a no brainer….lol

  29. Kim • May 23, 2009 @ 4:34 PM

I read that she recently lost a very close friend, who had committed suicide. If that is the case, they must have been very very close for her to not only be so devastated, but to also take her own life as well?

  30. Jo-Anne • May 23, 2009 @ 5:07 PM

I never read or heard of that, Kim, how sad if that was the case…

suicide is always incredibly devastating with continuous suffering for all those close to the victim for years and years following the loss…

  31. tributegirl • May 23, 2009 @ 9:11 PM

That’s right, it’s the loved ones of the person who commits suicide who suffer the most. I thank God I’ve never had a loved one do this, and I hope I never do, but I do have a few co-workers who have suffered this terrible loss, and I can’t imagine their pain.

  32. mandee • May 24, 2009 @ 2:21 PM

i know im probably going to come off as rude…i do not feel sympathy for anyone that commits suicide. there are so many options in the world today, and i dont believe any of this “oh they must have felt so alone, or been so sad” crap. killing yourself is the cowards way out. what kind of life would it be if everything came easy, if nothing was hard or hurtful? then how would you know to cherish the good stuff in your life, the happy moments? everyone goes through an amazing amount of crap in their life, if its so easy for other people that have been through more to hold on and fight it out, why is it so hard for these people? i understand it can be a mental problem that causes this, but what kind of life could these people have had if they arent willing to take a chance at living? and hasnt EVERYONE at some point in their life felt like suicide was the best answer? like it would take away all their pain and make everything easy? its selfish, thats what it is. with the amount of suffering and the amount of unanswered questions you leave behind just because you believe your pain is more intense than everyone elses. come on man. i feel bad for her family.

  33. Carol • May 24, 2009 @ 2:55 PM

Well, very simple, not everyone hears everything in their sleep. One of my brothers NEVER work up when his alarm clock went off on school mornings, he didn’t even hit snooze, but it woke up the rest of the house. I’ve slept through a fire alarm that was right outside my bedroom (there was no fire, the furnace overheated) and my parents woke up, checked it out, all was ok. I know a man who came home to his mothers house, went to the garage and killed himself by hanging. When she and her grandson went to the garage to get in the vehicle to find him (They didn’t realize he was home) she found him. It is extremely possible. How close was the room where she did it to the bedroom.
And, if they were arguing, maybe they had a difficult relationship that was part of the reason. He certainly would be a suspect, but not necessarily guilty.

Some of you would suck as detectives, you are too narrow minded and quick to judge!

  34. mandee • May 24, 2009 @ 5:47 PM

i assume thats why none of us decided to become detectives? because we know better than to trust anyone? just because you accuse us of being “too narrow minded” doesnt mean he DIDNT kill her. youll look pretty foolish if it turns out he DID now that you just insulted us.

  35. tributegirl • May 24, 2009 @ 6:11 PM

Carol, I agree, my brother-in-law doesn’t wake up for anything, we’ve been right there yelling at him and shaking him to wake him up, but it’s almost like he’s dead or something, then when he’s good and ready he wakes up. And sorry mandee, but I do have to agree with Carol, a lot of people on here are extremely narrow minded and quick to judge. Also, I do feel sorry for victims of suicide, because I can’t help but think that the person must have felt that there was absolutely no other way out of their bad situation, and obviously their suffering blotted out (in their mind) the amount of love that their friends and family felt for them.

  36. Nancy • May 24, 2009 @ 6:38 PM

I used to be a really heavy sleeper until I had kids. Would never hear my alarm, my mom tested the smoke alarm 6 feet away from head and I never woke up. I wouldn’t even wake up to roll over, just stayed in the same position all night. My mom would have to yell and shake the heck out of me to get me awake for school. Then the kids came…and sleep has never been the same since! 😀

  37. tributegirl • May 24, 2009 @ 6:54 PM

True that, kids do change things, don’t they!

  38. Carol • May 24, 2009 @ 6:55 PM

Mandee, could you please, just for once, write something intelligent. The fact that you even said what you said implies that I was referring to you and you are dumb enough to think you are one of the narrow minded ones. I would not feel stupid if he is found guilty…DUH Mandee….I’m just saying that there could be a possiblility, right now a 50/50 chance he is also innocent. Just because two people are under the same roof doesn’t necessarily mean they know what each other is doing. Does your mommy & daddy know everything you do just because you live under the same roof? When you are ready to talk serious, let me know. I’m just saying that there are two sides to every coin…and unfortunately, I have to say that because you obviously didn’t get that from my comment.

Just because someone is rich or famous doesn’t mean they wouldn’t or couldn’t take their own lives. He is in the house, he is a suspect, and that makes perfect sense…but all we know is what we read, so he could very well be innocent. If not, hopefully he’ll pay a big price for what he did, but if he is innocent, hopefully the suspicions will soon drop.

  39. mandee • May 24, 2009 @ 11:29 PM

first of all im not “dumb” second of all, i didnt imply you were talking directly to me, third of all i do have intelligent posts, clearly you are too “narrow minded” to see that. and what does rich and famous have to do with death? im not sure that i even read anyone say anything about her having money or not. (im not going to reread all the posts to see because i have better things to do). also, i never said if i think he killed her or it was suicide “DUH” carol, i am undecided in this matter. im just saying, dont insult people for not seeing things from your SIMPLE point of view. i wish everyone was as simple minded as you are, perhaps then the world would be a better place. i also never said people cant sleep through the noises of someone committing suicide. i am aware that its possible, i have slept through tons of stuff in my house. im curious, do YOU tell your parents everything? obviously, no one does so youre right, my “mommy & daddy” dont know everything about me. now, if i was married or with someone, they would know everything about me. thats what a relationship is all about.

  40. Steve • May 25, 2009 @ 11:00 AM

Another sad tale from the lives of the famous. For one, suicide should never be the answer to anything. We are all loved by a Creator God who died for us already and even though it looks like there is no other way out God provided one when His Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. ( thank you Jesus). If this was murder than we have to leave that to those who are doing the investigating and pray that they will be able to find the info they need to come to that conclusion. I wasn’t there so I just can’t say what happened. What I do know is that another soul has gone on to eternity and will be judged by the one true judge God who knows all nothing is hidden from Him who sits on the throne. I just pray that she had Jesus as her defence otherwise all will be lost for her soul, sadly. May those who read this consider where they will spend eternity without the saving grace of Jesus’ blood. Amen.

  41. Nancy • May 25, 2009 @ 4:26 PM

    Oh man!

  42. tributegirl • May 25, 2009 @ 6:56 PM

Actually, I went back and re-read your original post, Carol, and yes you were considering both sides, just one side was being argued by everyone, so you just gave a different perspective.

  43. Jo-Anne • May 25, 2009 @ 8:17 PM

wow, t.g. just when I was beginning to actually like you…

carol, you are just plain mean and speaking of material, as you say, judging by much of your material on here lately…looking far from intelligent yourself and…well, your last line about sums it up completely…

  44. Nancy • May 25, 2009 @ 8:43 PM

Awe, what’s the matter Jo-Anne? Getting tired of playing with me…now you want to play with Carol? Realized you’re no match for “Nancycakes”? 😉

Tributegirl, poor you…what will you ever do now? Jo-Anne was just “beginning to actually like you…”, and now you’ve gone and ruined it! 😀 Seems to me it was just what, 2 or 3 days ago she was preaching how you were so quick to justify your comment to me? How, “some things never change”. She likes to comment how you lick my boots…well, it seems she is more than happy to TRY to get you to lick hers…but when you won’t, she takes her toys and runs home crying “I was beginning to actually like you…I hate you! You’re not my friend anymore!”

  45. Nancy • May 25, 2009 @ 8:45 PM

  47. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 12:58 AM

    Wow Carol,
Your comments to and about mandee are disgusting and very immature. The point here is to debate an opinion or issue, not belittle someone for what YOU think they are. You go on as if you are a few notches above her intellectually, yet after going through a few of your previous posts, its obvious that you are quite dimwitted yourself. Given your limited capabilities, your finger pointing on stupidity is actually quite funny. Does your mommy & daddy know everything you do . . . . . At the very least, refrain from making any comments until you can come up with your own material.

    Nancy,
Im surprised that you have turned Jos comments to Carol into, once again, being about you! As for the relationship that Jo has with Tributegirl, what is your fixation with breaking down whatever communication they have? I don’t think Tribute girl needs your warped interpretation of other peoples comments.

  48. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 1:15 AM

ooops forgot to mention topic at hand…
Very unfortunate to hear that anyone feels this level of despair. Most people are not aware of the signs before hand. I know a young man that tried to commit suicide while sharing a house with my nephew. Went into the washroom and cut himself very badly. They had company that evening and no one heard anything and realized a couple of hours later when he stopped responding to what was taking him so long. He lived, but walks with a cane now and has had many months of rehab. Very sad situation. All say now that the signs were there, but hindsight is always 20/20

  49. mandee • May 26, 2009 @ 1:23 AM

nancy, i think what joanne is talking about is how after the rude things carol said about me, it seemed tributegirl was siding with her. not that it really matters. i never once claimed to me the smartest person here, but to accuse me of being stupid because i thought carols comments about people being “narrow minded” were rude? i have no idea who carol is, im not sure ive ever even spoken to her. so what reason does she have to dislike me? and follow some of the other articles, and guess who is trying to cause sh!t by dragging me into it? before you go ranting about joannes comment, why dont you ask her why she said it? thanks to those of you that see how rude carols comment was.

  50. demigod • May 26, 2009 @ 3:16 AM

    Steve on May 25, 2009 11:00 AM

And if she didn’t pray to Jesus, God will cast her soul to hell and burn for eternity? What an unenlightened fool you are. Leave it to man-made religion to instill fear in believing.

  51. lily • May 26, 2009 @ 6:21 AM

    demigod at 3:16…amen brother!!!

Steve just in case you miss the point, I think demigod is totally right and your a selfrightous fool, like all religious extremists.

  52. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 7:34 AM

mandee, thanks for what you are attempting to do, but believe me when I say, (and this should be painfully obvious by now) I place no worth at all in any of Nancy’s comments and expect exactly to the T what she came back with, she is extremely predictable.

I do not know why you persist in coming to her aid when others challenge her (and there have been many) as she selfishly chooses to ignore the rude comments made to you when perhaps a kind word in your favour would be…woah – what am I saying here?? it is Nancy we’re speaking of. Anyhow, point made.

I agree as well, Anon, on your comments and the hindsight 20/20 so bang on…

I take no offence at all in Steve’s remarks, however believe they are not “well placed” on this site…just my opinion that you are choosing the wrong forum to “spread your word”…

  53. tributegirl • May 26, 2009 @ 8:30 AM

Jo, agreed that this is the wrong forum for Steve’s preaching. And to set the record straight, what I meant in my earlier comment was, it seemed everyone on here had already declared the boyfriend guilty and had slammed the gavel. What I took from Carol’s initial comment when I re-read it, was that she was pointing out the fact that maybe he had nothing to do with it and that everyone was jumping to conclusions. Then mandee said something about Carol looking pretty foolish, and it seems to have continued from there. As far as the banter between Carol and mandee, they both can handle themselves, I don’t plan to get involved unless I get dragged in, which I hope I don’t.

  54. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 8:52 AM

Anon/Gina, it’s not because it’s about ME…that’s just YOUR “warped interpretation”. As for me having a “fixation” to break down any “relationship” (HAHAHAHA) that Tributegirl and miss fish lips have…they really don’t seem to have a “relationship”…especially when Jo-Anne doesn’t get the opinion out of Tributegirl that she wants. Why is it, that when Tributegirl says something in agreement with me or in my defence, YOU, Jo-Anne and one or two others on here say that she is “licking Nancy’s boots”, etc but yet, when I say something, I’m considered to be trying to “break down a relationship”? You guys are seriously on crack! And it would seem to some Anon/Gina, that you just came popping up on here out of the blue to join into the argument…haven’t been on for a few days….take a closer look people…”Trixy” has posted several times. Wouldn’t surprise me if all the “weird” comments above (Trina G., Sir William Gull, Tanya, Vickie) were all comments from you as well…that’s right up your alley, isn’t it? Countless times you have done that before! Oh, or will you blame your “daughter” for it again?

Mandee, I know what Jo-Anne was pointing out. I wasn’t “ranting” and I wouldn’t waste my time “asking” her anything…she lies, I’d never get a straight answer out of her. I have no clue who any of you are. Maybe Carol was a little harsh but I believe she took offence (lots of us misinterpret words on here..that’s a proven fact, LOL) to what you said about her looking “foolish” if it turns out he did kill this woman. I don’t get the impression that Tributegirl was actually “siding” with Carol, but I DO however, get the impression that whenever Tributegirl says ANYTHING to someone who is involved in a spat, Jo-Anne and anon/Gina jump right in there and accuse her of basically taking sides and make sure to tell her that it’s the wrong side. She can do as she pleases, can’t she?

Demigod: Totally agree with your May 26, 3:16 AM comment.

As for miss fish lips comment, “I place no worth at all in any of Nancy’s comments and expect exactly to the T what she came back with, she is extremely predictable.” See mandee…that is exactly why I don’t “ask” Jo-Anne what she means by her ignorant comments…I already know what a prude she is!

“I do not know why you persist in coming to her aid when others challenge her (and there have been many) as she selfishly chooses to ignore the rude comments made to you…” Oh, ok…so I’m NOT supposed to say a word to Tributegirl because I would be “breaking up a relationship” but yet, I’m supposed to jump in in another place and also Jo-Anne can do as she pleases and anon/Gina doesn’t say a word to her…?? I’ll say what I want…don’t like it? BEEP OFF!

  55. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 9:07 AM

miss fish lips??? ha ha…I actually have to apologize for earlier remark(s), nance, likening you to Grade Three mentality….should be Grade One…

I do believe that the petty insults started after…
“Some of you would suck as detectives, you are too narrow minded and quick to judge!”
Mandees “foolish” comments were mild in comparison, and didn’t warrant being asked if she had anything intelligent to contribute. God forbid mandee should make a response to carols sophisticated comments. I don’t know about you, but belittling and talking down to someone you believe is slow just doesnt impress me much.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I havent been on for a while, so those posts = not me.
As for just popping up like this, kids no longer sick and was just reacquainting myself with all going on here. Having said that, there is no further need to explain myself to you; I am not about to get sucked into your endless vortex.

  58. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 9:34 AM

    tributegirl on May 26, 2009 8:30 AM

I better add, before this goes any further and since it can be hard to distinguish at times, that I not trying to drag or turn this into anything, Im just making a comment.

  59. tributegirl • May 26, 2009 @ 10:04 AM

No problem, Gina, I really don’t want to get dragged into anything. But actually when Carol said we’d suck at being detectives, I laughed, I saw it as a really funny comment. But also a true one, because “some” people on here (no one specific, the quotation marks are because Carol said “some”) ARE narrow minded and quick to judge. And I felt that mandee’s comment right after was very “quick to judge”, but I know that mandee says what she thinks as she thinks it.
btw, how is your daughter now? Did she test positive for H1N1? Did anyone else in the house get sick? I’m very curious, because after you mentioned her symptoms & I replied to you, I didn’t see anything from you for quite awhile, so I have been wondering.
Also wondering, Gina & Jo, do you two have your puppies yet? I have a 3 year old sheltie who is scared of our 9 week old kitten, it’s hilarious! He’s a great dog, just not very brave! The kitten is doing great now, but when we first got him at 6 1/2 weeks old, he didn’t thrive well at all, I didn’t think he’d survive.

  60. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 10:11 AM

Anon/Gina….you have been in my so-called “endless vortex” for awhile now, in case you haven’t noticed…and “I” didn’t have to “suck” you into it…you jump in of your own free will! You absolutely do not have to explain yourself to me at all…I don’t believe it anyways…Trixy was one of your names except I believe you spelled it “Trixie”. Then all this stuff up above ▲ with the Trina, etc. I can’t say for sure but it wouldn’t surprise me IN THE LEAST or as miss fish lips would say…”predictable”. Oh, and we’re all here “just making a comment”. As for you Jo-Anne, you may think I’m in “Grade One” but, I’m still in a higher grade than you. I show you ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT and will NEVER show you any respect. Right from day one, even when I never spoke to you, you chose to treat ANY comment I made like it was totally garbage as compared to “yours” and THAT is when and why I jumped on your back…and I NEVER, EVER plan to get off…get used to it!

  61. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 12:33 PM

    Nancy on May 26, 2009 10:11 AM
Then call Tribute for gods sake and be done with it. As for the vortex, I’ve decided to pass on them, give you my opinion and then move on. Can you possibly do the same??? Probably not lol

  62. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 12:40 PM

Daughter is doing great, though it took her forever to shake it off. My son was slightly ill, but I’ve sanitized like mad so I guess it did some good. Wasnt tested for anything but it was a pretty nasty bug.

Puppy is doing great!! We all love her…except the poor cat. I wish she would just give it to the dog and get it over with but she continues to run and hide all day. I have thought about locking her and the dog together in a room so they can battle it out, but don’t have the heart. Poor baby, she actually pooped on the floor when she saw the dog. If she would give the puppy a few swipes, it would all be done with. I guess shes getting to old to fight. I just imagine your dog running from a kitty the size of your palm, must be having a lot of fun at your place!

    Jo,
    Hows your puppy doing?

Nance…”garbage” is by far too good a word, there is, in some instances, a need for garbage in this world…I was thinking something infinitely more vapid…

on a more cheery note, thanks tg and anon for asking re puppy – puppy is a handful, that’s for sure. She seems to be slowly settling, 2 week mark soon, but the biting and ripping of anything in her way is insane! 24/7 job.

funny you mention your other pets and the animals “acquainting themselves” – puppy is fast becoming not too popular with wee chihuahua and 2 cats. Not sure how puppy managed to get out of her fenced in area today but she did and when I got back home (almost 3 hours later) all 3 pets had miraculously survived, so I guess they do battle it out and live to tell the tale…

they probably all chill when we’re gone and are best buds and then go into Extreme Maniac Mode when we get home – ha ha !

  64. tributegirl • May 26, 2009 @ 2:06 PM

Oh wow, so far the kitten stays off the leather furniture, which is great, I bought him one of those carpet covered climbing things, and he seems to have taken to it quite naturally, that’s what he scratches. Yes, Gina, it is hilarious, last night the kitten chased the dog down the hall, down the stairs and through the living room, we were all cracking up! There is a very obvious pecking order here, the 12 year old cat is at the top, kitten next, poor dog on the bottom!

  65. Harry_Potter_Lover • May 26, 2009 @ 2:10 PM

Really guys, I don’t like getting into other peoples bussiness becuase I usually like people to mind their own too. But really, this is ridiulous. Everyone has their own opinion. Carol at the beginning I really did agree with you, you made a lot of sense to me. No where in your post did you say that he wasn’t gulity and nowhere in your post did you say he was. But in the first post I also agreed with mandee. You don’t come off as rude, in my opinion, just because you have no sympathy for people that commit suicide. I rarely do either. And, also like you, I do feel sympathy for the families envolved. So, I guess I thought it was a little immature that you made the first comment to Carol, as there was no proof to say that she was talking solely to you. But, Carol, it was just as immature to allow yourself to be provoked. And then to let the argument escalate to this! I’m sorry but this is just crazy. The point of the post was to talk about this poor girls death, whether it was murder or suicide, hopefully they find out. And P.S. people who were just about to write rude remark about something I just wrote, I think I would know something about immaturity as I am only 14 years old.

  66. Harry_Potter_Lover • May 26, 2009 @ 2:18 PM

also I think that I am one of the most un-mature people on the planet, so go ahead people. I really don’t care if you write a rude comment about me because, that’s just your opinion and mabey if you actually knew me, you would have a different one.

  67. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 2:36 PM

14 year old…that’s what this site is all about…in response to your “that’s just your opinion”…

it’s everyone’s opinion on here, and my only comment is if anyone is uncomfortable with anything on here, why post? simply walk away…

just like you are giving an opinion on opinions given by others, so others do same…maybe not in the fashion you would prefer, but that’s the risk you take on being on a public forum such as this, not everything goes your way…

but you always have a choice to contribute or not…

  68. mandee • May 26, 2009 @ 2:50 PM

joanne, i wasnt defending nancy in my last comment. i was defending you 🙂 and the comment about who was trying to start sh!t with me, was about carol. and youre right, nancy never has anything nice to say to or about me, but for some reason i still like her. nancy, that comment was about you? the defending someone comment? i thought it was about me defending you lol. joanne, you should use names more often. and yes i see that the 2 of you dont get along nancy 🙂 its fine with me, Anon on May 26, 2009 9:19 AM youre right and thanks, your comment made me laugh. well, i have to go to work now, anons was the last comment i read, i will read and comment on the rest later. have a great day ladies 🙂

  69. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 2:55 PM

Anon/Gina: I’d have to get the 1-800 hotline # from Jo-Anne…surely to get a busy signal…from her and them, as I’m sure she’s bombarding them with calls again of how Nancy called her “miss fish lips”, hahaha!

Jo-Anne: Like I give a sh!t what you think of my comments…my comments are by far better than yours EVER could be…and that pisses you off more than anything. That is why you’ve always had such a hate-on for me. Feeling is mutual though…you make me sick. I’ve never even met you (thank God), hopefully will never have to endure the ghastly sight of you…BARFFFFFFFF! 😉

  70. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 2:59 PM

Mandee, I have been speaking very nicely to you this past while. We’ve been commenting back and forth about tv shows and movies, shopping, etc. Have I been being mean to you? No, I didn’t jump down Carol’s throat for you…I’m too busy squeezing Jo-Anne’s! 😀

  71. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 4:14 PM

“fish lips” “LMAO” “LMFAO” “DUH!” “Shut the hell up” “BARFFFFF!!”…I can definitely see where your comments would be rated far better than mine could ever be….

and you call this is a competition??? give me, at the very least, something to work with…

  72. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 4:26 PM

“and you call this is a competition???”

Who said anything about “a competition”? You can’t even start your sentences with a capital letter but yet, claim to have some kind of background in journalism…pfft! Yeah right!

  73. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 4:30 PM

you really hate that small letter stuff, eh? ha ha

I am touched you remember so much about my life accomplishments…

try as I may, all I seem to associate with your accomplishments is….hmmm….wait, it will come to me….brain strain….think, jo, think….sorry, coming up empty….

lol Cats usually do have the upper hand in the house, I wish mine would grow a back bone already! She is only 5 yrs and still has a lot of spunk, so I just don’t get it. Especially in my home; I have a hard time tolerating weak females!

    TG & Jo

Heres a little chuckle; our basement is finished except for the laundry area and I heard something in the downstairs ceiling one night. The cat managed to get up to the ceiling opening between the laundry room and rec room and was crawling between the beams under the drywall! I had visions of her falling between the walls and having to tear them down to get her out. Thankfully, we managed to coax her out, laundry door stays shut now and litter box is kept in basement hall. I did leave the two alone and loose in the house and came back to a hell of a mess downstairs where the puppy decided to dig through the litter box it and scatter it everywhere! Once the initial shock was over and the mess cleaned up, we found it pretty funny.

  75. Carol • May 26, 2009 @ 6:42 PM

This is too funny, you guys/gals get worked up so easily. So if Mandee doesn’t like what I said, she’s a big girl, let her plead her case. She doesn’t need Gina and Jo-Ann to do that for her. I think if she is big enough to read the info on here and respond, she’s big enough to take what’s coming, whether or not she likes it. This site is great for a laugh. You take it WAY too serious.

Anyway, you know my opinion on this, if he’s guilty, hang him, if he’s not, let it drop and let the guy morn in peace. If he did it, we can have this same ridulous discussion again…lol

  76. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 7:05 PM

    Carol on May 26, 2009 6:42 PM

Not worked up at all, just voicing my opinion on your attitude, communication skills and lack of character. They kind of make your opinions insignificant. No big deal, right?

  77. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 7:39 PM

who is worked up? (besides Nancy…)

  78. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 7:42 PM

Funny, I like Carol’s “character”. I also like reading her opinions on these topics. And before you “LEECHES” even think about jumping for my blood…no, I am NOT trying to side with Carol or have her side with me, so don’t even bother saying it!

  79. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 7:45 PM

Figures. That’s great, you feel a connection and have something in common. But my words were a “lack of character” lol

  80. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 7:47 PM

You only wish I was worked up, Jo-Anne. As for me remembering your “life’s accomplishments”…well, you know, unlike you, I’m not puffing a crack pipe ever 10 minutes. As for you not knowing any of my life’s accomplishments…as if I’d ever tell you! I’m exactly where I want to be in life and that is all that matters. Neither you or anyone else on here needs to know where I work or anything else. As I told you before, I don’t need to showboat.

  81. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 7:50 PM

    Anon/Gina: and I don’t believe that Carol’s “character” is lacking…my words.

You’re only here for trouble anyways Anon/Gina…that’s why ALL DAY you never commented on any of the other articles…you only came straight to this one…sniffing for blood…jumping into the vortex on your own free will, haha.

  82. Jo-Anne • May 26, 2009 @ 7:55 PM

well, I’d rather you keep ALL those accomplishments to yourself, impressive, no doubt that they are…

  83. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 7:56 PM

Actually, I did comment on Mel’s newfound love today, so once again, your off. To be honest Nancy, I dont spend that much time on Tribute. I go through spurts. Though I do post religiously on cbc… not that there would be anything of interest to you there. lol

  84. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 8:09 PM

Actually Anon/Gina, your comment on the Mel Gibson article was “tonight”, technically. I believe I said in my comment above “ALL DAY”…”so once again, your off” (sic). What I meant was that your postings started last night at almost 1 AM and right up until TONIGHT after 6 PM (on the Mel article), your comments were centred on this article….where the claws are out, LOL. As for nothing being of interest to me on CBC…how would YOU know what does/does not interest me?

  85. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 8:11 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot….you THINK you are so intelligent…more intelligent that me and probably other too, right? You must be related to demigod!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  86. Anon • May 26, 2009 @ 8:25 PM

Why do you care? Why does when, why and to who I direct my comments to affect you so much? By the way, I dont see any claws out on this page, just some fools spewing trash while standing nest to the biggest pile. Not directed to anyone in particular, of course.

  87. Nancy • May 26, 2009 @ 9:12 PM

It’s not that I care, Anon/Gina. I could care less about your comments. But, when you’re putting others down for their comments and going on like you are oh, so intelligent and “won’t be sucked in”, talking about Carol’s “attitude, communication skills and lack of character”….you really don’t think YOU are any better than any of us do you? You only came in here for the fight and you, me and everyone else knows it!

  88. mandee • May 26, 2009 @ 10:21 PM

nancy, no youre right we havent been fighting, we have had some nice conversations lately. anon, from earlier, im really glad to hear your daughter is ok and that the rest of the family didnt get sick!! thats great news. i wish i had new pets lol. what kind of puppies or kittens did you guys get? (i forget who all got new animals, i somehow missed that conversation before now). carol, im sure i made it pretty clear to everyone that was reading the posts that i find your comments to be rude and uncalled for. i never ASKED anyone to defend me, but honestly when i think people are being rude to others i will step in as well. so i can see why the rest of them are so willing and quick to tell you how rude you are.

  89. Jo-Anne • May 27, 2009 @ 7:56 AM

“just some fools spewing trash while standing nest to the biggest pile”….priceless ha ha

  90. Nancy • May 27, 2009 @ 9:15 AM

I also like Carol’s character, she’s been great with me, we’ve had some good convo’s and some laughs, and I hope it continues. I’m not trying to side with anyone either, if Carol and mandee are going at it, I’ll do my best to stay out of it, unless my name gets thrown in there.

  92. Nancy • May 27, 2009 @ 2:24 PM

We recently got a golden retriever, now 6 mnths old. She is a real beauty and such a good girl. She is usually well behaved in the house and an absolute joy. We love her!!! I was hesitant with the whole puppy thing, but honestly can’t imagine not having a dog now. So we now have our lovely cat Missy, puppy Bebe, (obviously kids named the pets) some stupid fish that I cant stand and a couple of those miniature African Frogs that just swim up and down in a tall vase. Those are pretty cool and we have them on our coffee table. Company love them and they are quite relaxing to watch. Thats and Im not adding any more, except the frogs if and when they go on to froggy heaven.

  94. mandee • May 27, 2009 @ 3:38 PM

im glad the dog is doing good! me and my family used to have a lot of pets lol so i know what its all about. my sister has 4 chinchillas, we have 2 dogs, and at one time i had 7 hermit crabs, 2 gerbils and 2 hamsters (along with everyone elses pets lol). so yeah, we were basically running a petting zoo here 😛 i love frogs ! i used to have a big fish tank when i was younger with fish and frogs in it. what a pain to clean that was lol. they sound like theyd be cool looking 🙂 mine kept getting sucked up into the filter and i had to keep getting them out. 🙁 they eventually got too fat and would get stuck in the filter where it sucks up water and they would die. so i didnt buy anymore. i wish i had a cat. im allergic so i cant have any. our dogs are shih tzus. animals definitely make life more fun!

nancy, who are you talking about : “meanwhile you and her are the biggest trash spewers on here!” ??????

  95. Nancy • May 27, 2009 @ 5:06 PM

I’m talking about the two who are speaking of “spewing trash”….being Jo-Anne & Anon/Gina.

  96. Carol • May 27, 2009 @ 6:04 PM

Too funny, ok miss priss (aka Mandee) you don’t like me or my comments, I think you’ve made that perfectly clear. I think this is a matter of getting the last word in. If you look through the many posts above, you have made so many comments, and if you want the last word, darlin’, be my guest…just goes to show how mature you are.

Anyway for the record, I was mean to Mandee…boo hoo! Waaaaaa! Get over it already….And no one needs you to defend them. I can see that the people on here seem to take care of themselves fine, you being the only exception…but it’s funny, you do get worked up pretty easy…lol

  97. Jo-Anne • May 27, 2009 @ 6:45 PM

if you wanna see real bonafide tantrums…archive Nancy’s posts…gives “Waaaaa!” a whole new meaning….

  98. Anon • May 27, 2009 @ 6:48 PM

    Carol on May 27, 2009 6:04 PM

You obviously think shes an absolute idiot so why bother even responding to her comments, yet here you are again, not getting the last word in. And if you don’t think she’s the idiot, that leads me to believe that this is basically your style of communicating…which would make you the idiot. It’s one or the other

  99. mandee • May 27, 2009 @ 7:30 PM

i never said i didnt like YOU carol. i dont like your personality or the fact that you feel the need to insult people due to the fact you didnt like their opinion on the topic at hand. and “miss priss”? wow, you clearly know nothing about me lol. and i have made “so many comments” ? you reply to every comment i make, which is why i reply to every comment you make. maybe if YOU acted “mature” and didnt insult me, i wouldnt feel the need to say rude or nasty things about you? its not about getting the last word in, its about responding when you talk directly to or about me. anon, i agree. nancy (sorry its at the bottom, i wanted to say what i was thinking before i got sidetracked lol) ok, i was like man i havent even said anything to you 😛 so nancy, do you have any pets?

  100. Nancy • May 27, 2009 @ 7:50 PM

Hahaha…I have one old mutt…named Jo-Anne…never leaves my damn computer alone when I leave the room!

    LMFAO! Click my name!

  101. Nancy • May 27, 2009 @ 7:52 PM

No, seriously though, we don’t have any pets. I enjoy my freedom way too much. I work my schedule around my kids…and that is it! LOL

  102. Anon • May 27, 2009 @ 8:17 PM

    Nancy on May 27, 2009 7:52 PM

I tried the puppy thing when my kids were small and it didn’t work for us then. To make things worse, I didn’t research breed types and got myself a good ole beagle. Worst year of my life, I can tell you that! Destroyed everything, chewed the carpet, couch, baseboards, mattress, every barbies leg in the house, everyone’s shoes, my purses, dug up the yard, continuously ran away. He did have quite the personality and it was very hard to give him up. I put an ad in the paper, had a few responses from locals (Hamilton) but gave him to a guy out in Windsor so I wouldnt get him back! Now the kids are much older so its a great time for a pup. We were much too busy when they were younger.

  103. Nancy • May 27, 2009 @ 8:20 PM

I don’t throw “tantrums”, Jo-Anne. You do enough of that. And if people were to actually go digging through the archives they would see several comments from ‘Nancy’ referring to Jo-Anne going “WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” And calling the “Tribute Coppers”, remember that? Hahahahaha! What’s the hotline # there Jo, 1-800-WHA-AAAA? Or is it 1-800-WUF-WUFF?

  104. Carol • May 27, 2009 @ 8:56 PM

Oh, Mandee, you don’t like me, and I don’t care, really. I think if you look at my comments on newer articles going forward, they have nothing to do with you. Gina, you are so right, I must have something in common with Mandee (ahhh, it kills me to say it) to be still having this petty battle with her. But in looking through archives, it seems Mandee always tries to get the last word, so this is just a joke to me. I’m enjoying it. So, if Mandee wants to keep going, I can keep going, but the worst part is this…if Mandee has an issue with me (or I with her) then we don’t need you guys to butt in, but if you feel the need, go ahead. As I said, it’s all fun and games on my end. And I didn’t insult people, only really Mandee. But, again, if I’m mistaken, I’ll stand corrected.

But really, people, at the end of the day, does what I say make that much difference in your lives to keep going on and on and on and on and on like this?

Guess you must like the fun and games too.

  105. Anon • May 27, 2009 @ 9:16 PM

    Carol on May 27, 2009 8:56 PM

You are right, I love the bantering, debates and comical jabs. But you surely must know what is appropriate and with whom. Or at the very least who isn’t loosing any sleep over what is said. But to each his own and if your comments (in this case) give you some kind of personal satisfaction, then have a blast.

  106. Jo-Anne • May 27, 2009 @ 9:52 PM

hmmm….Carol, why the need to constantly reiterate this means nothing to you, no seriousness, trying very hard to belittle the whole context here as non-existent to you etc.etc. – why be here then and why the constant cracks at mandee and why the constant telling others not to back mandee up? same day, different storyline, you telling me to back off your pal Nancy….
    wow, Carol…whassup? you’re all over the board…

I think we all must have some kind of fun from this and no, Nancy, that does not translate into you throwing darts at my posts whilst chanting “what’s this look like – my fist in your face Jo Jo”…

  107. mandee • May 27, 2009 @ 10:02 PM

carol, its funny i tell you i have no problems with YOU and you still cant accept it. why is that exactly? clearly the only person that knows who i like and dislike is me. so when i say i dont hate you, thats what i mean. me and nancy have had our fair share of fights, so have me and joanne, and maybe me and anon, and ive even had a fight or 2 with tributegirl, does it seem to you like i dont like them? you see its funny, when they stopped saying rude things to or about me, i stopped saying rude things to and about them and we went back to talking and being ok with each other. so as soon as youre ready to stop insulting me because my brain works differently than yours, let me know and we can have normal conversations. i dont lose sleep over online stupidity, i enjoy fighting and bantering just as much as everyone else, but it shouldnt include insulting people you know nothing about because you think youre above them.

  108. Nancy • May 28, 2009 @ 8:43 AM

Hahaha…that’s funny, Jo-Anne! She never told you “to back off” on me…as if! Everyone on here knows full well that if there was anyone who could handle herself…it’s definately Nancy! Carol’s comment on the other article, as far as I’m concerned, basically said the same thing to you that I tell you and Anon/Gina on here all the time…you’re no damn better than any of the rest of us…so stop being a prissy-tight-@$$!

  109. Jo-Anne • May 28, 2009 @ 3:08 PM

  110. Nancy • May 28, 2009 @ 5:09 PM

Yeah right! Well, you can “profess” that you’re better than me ALL you want…anybody who’s anybody knows you spew nothing but BS. I killed a spider today that was better than you, LOL.

  111. Jo-Anne • May 28, 2009 @ 7:58 PM

and I’m supposed to waste more of my “class material” on this kind of weak comeback…???

come on, Nance…at least make it worth my while…reach into the depths of your fountain of knowledge and give me something to work with…okay, let’s try that again but look beyond “The Cat in the Hat”…

  112. Nancy • May 28, 2009 @ 8:54 PM

    “class material”?????????????

You wish! It’s time to wake up now, Jo-Anne…nap time is over. Gather now with your classmates in a circle on the rug, it’s story time. I see you’ve chosen ‘Cat in The Hat’ again. Maybe we can try ‘One fish two fish red fish blue fish’ instead for a change?

  114. Carol • May 29, 2009 @ 9:05 PM

Anon/Gina, I love that book, took my daughter to see it on stage a few years back. It was awesome!

Jo-Anne, you really are funny, because you say something to me about what I’m saying to or about Mandee (however you want to look at it) and then you do the same thing to Nancy. I gotta tell ya, it’s pretty hypocritical of you…lol but I think you’ve met your match with Nancy. Basically, why are you backing Mandee up? you don’t think she can handle herself? Anyway, enough of you, go start another fight with Nancy because from what I have read on here, you instigate quite a bit.

Mandee, like me or hate me, I don’t know, I don’t care. You did not like my initial comment, you commented on that, I came back…and here we are, still talking about it…you have to admit, this is quite hilarious.

Greatest children’s book by far. Spent many, many years reading and re-reading it on a nightly basis to my kids as once was never enough. We still have it and I read it to them once in a while even though they’re 18 & 19 now. lol

Goodnight Opus and the movie Hocus Pocus were their favourites by far.

  116. mandee • May 29, 2009 @ 11:05 PM

carol, no now its just boring and lame to be honest. i told you, i was over it as soon as i commented. and the difference between you and me and nancy and joanne, they both continue to instigate each other. its not the same as me disagreeing with a comment and you insulting me repeatedly.

  117. Carol • May 30, 2009 @ 11:00 AM

Mandee you are right (did I just say that?). This is so yesterday’s news.

  118. Nancy • May 30, 2009 @ 12:29 PM

Is that what you call it…”instigate”? I believe I’ve just drawn out Jo-Anne’s ummmm….”inner beauty” (aka: true colours) for all to see. I’ve told you guys before that I am a very spiteful person, proved it to a few of you too. Jo-Anne has put me down many many many times for my language and insults to her, hahaha…check out all her lovely, heartfelt comments now for, say, the past week. The pot is black but so is the kettle! It took long enough but we have finally met the “REAL” Jo-Anne. What a b!tch, eh? 😀 And please, don’t even bother saying things about me in rebuttal because I have never claimed to be an innocent angel. In fact, just a few lines ago, I said “the pot is black but so is the kettle”, I’ve admitted to being “rude” as well, meaning that I fully know that I am no better than anyone else on here I just had to prove that the one who claims to be so smart and educated, so self-righteous, better than others….is actually…just one of us, and should stop thinking she is so much better, so much more educated, such a better parent, a better person…because she’s not.

  119. mandee • May 30, 2009 @ 1:54 PM

that wasnt an insult against you nancy, i was just pointing out the differences. you both go at each other (you have admitted it, so has she, we can all see it. thats the only reason i brought it up. i dont really care what you say to each other. i wasnt looking to fight with anyone. sorry if you mistook what i meant.

i tried to post exactly what it says in the dictionary online, but it says awaiting moderation?? is that because i included the website address?

  124. tributegirl • May 30, 2009 @ 10:18 PM

hahaha, that’s funny, you guys! But really, mistook kind of sounds like slang, doesn’t it? mandee, your comment above has a lot of weird squares in it! LOL

  125. ke • May 30, 2009 @ 10:46 PM

oh, so did you guys hear about this British actress who might have either committed suicide or had been murdered?

  126. Nancy • May 30, 2009 @ 11:00 PM

Uh yeah….like 8 days ago! That’s old news now! LMAO!

  127. mandee • May 31, 2009 @ 2:36 PM

  128. mandee • May 31, 2009 @ 2:37 PM

oh, in other news. i am, as of today, unemployed. my work has shut down as of half an hour ago. 🙁

  129. Nancy • May 31, 2009 @ 2:56 PM

Awe, that would really suck! Monetarily anyways…the manager sounded like a real @$$. I’m sorry to hear that mandee, really I am. I do have a heart in my chest here…somewhere, LOL. I hope you find something else. Be persistent and pester the heck out of every business with a resumé…every day! Eventually, someone will just hire you…they’ll see you every day anyways. 😀 And they will also see that you are persistent, dedicated and very strong minded and that is most likely the type of person they would want on their team. Hope everything works out for you.

  130. Nancy • May 31, 2009 @ 2:58 PM

Maybe you can get UIC…and they have programs to get you into courses and stuff too…take full advantage of all of it. That’s what it’s there for. Good luck! 😀

This may be a blessing in disguise. Take this opportunity to upgrade yourself while collecting UI. There are many programs available. All you have to do to qualify is prove that you have a barrier to employment…ie lack of education, experience, age or whatever it is that could apply to your situation and benefit your case. Don’t just jump into another dead end job when you have this great opportunity. I know this sounds terrible but if they want you to do job searches, only apply for the positions that you know you will not get. That will ensure re-training will be available to you. Some of the best opportunities are with the Y. They have a program that places you with a government agency for a year so you can build skills and pad your resume while paying you max UI, regardless of previous earnings. That would be the route I would take in your position.

maybe they can hire her here to be the token idjit

  133. mandee • May 31, 2009 @ 5:46 PM

thanks so much guys. i just applied online for unemployment, my mom thinks ill only get 400 a month, so i am going to apply for welfare as well. mainly only because i have to get my wisdom teeth out and they want 400 per tooth and i need all 4 out, so they will pay my dental coverage. i was thinking about school, but im not sure anyone will support me until classes go back in. but im totally going to look into things that can change my future. i just went for highway driving lessons yesterday, going to go within the next few weeks for my full g road test. after that, i am going to look into bus driving positions and designated driver positions. if i can work nights i can go to the school in the day. 🙂 thanks for all the kind words. im still kinda freaked out though.

  135. Carol • May 31, 2009 @ 7:54 PM

Mandee, I am sorry to hear that too. It’s not easy, but, yeah, be persistant. something good will come along.
Good luck with the job search.

  136. mandee • May 31, 2009 @ 8:41 PM

thanks. i just applied for a babysitting job, they are offering 65$ a day. 🙂 i will keep everyone posted with what ends up happening. for now, its sunday and theres really nothing i can do.

  137. tributegirl • June 1, 2009 @ 6:38 PM

Oh wow, mandee, that sucks. I’m really sorry about this new situation. I expect it’s because of the newest GM situation? I think Gina and Nancy have both given you a wealth of information, and I really, really hope you act upon their ideas, because they are really excellent ideas, and could really change your future for the better. One thing I want to tell you though, is if you work nights, it would be really hard to go to school in the day, because you would be exhausted and wouldn’t do as well, plus you would end up wearing yourself right out. As far as the babysitting job, if that’s all that comes up for now, that’s fine, but I think you should aim a lot higher. Those children won’t need a sitter forever, in a few years that job would be gone too. Keep us all updated, and if you ever have any questions, or concerns, or are looking for some advise or ideas, we are all just a mouseclick away, I will give you whatever advise and ideas I can, and I think the others on here would too.

  138. Nancy • June 1, 2009 @ 7:00 PM

Yeah, GM is really hurting. They cancelled all the Walmart credit cards…I love that store and used my card all the time…now I had to cut it into tiny pieces…

  139. mandee • June 1, 2009 @ 8:11 PM

thanks tributegirl. and yes i think its mainly because of whats going on with gm. right now i just figured if i did babysitting, i could do schooling around that. i have applied for unemployment but cant get anywhere until he mails me my ROE. also, i called welfare to find out if they would give me a dental card (i called a while back and asked when i was only making 500 a month, they told me they are not required to help anyone with anything if they make 500 and up a month) and they told me to forget it, they dont give out dental cards to people like me. so i said, what do you mean people like me? you told me 6 months ago when i called and asked that you were unable to help me because i made 500 a month, well currently i make NOTHING a month and youre still not going to help me? and she said no, we dont have to so we arent. so yeah, there goes that plan. also, once i get my info and take it to unemployment im going to see if they will pay for me to take correspondence to finish my high school. after that i will go from there. i dont really want to go to a college and do their test because i think i will fail, since i am terrible in history, geography, and science. its really boring ALREADY being unemployed. cant believe its a monday night and im sitting at home. 🙁 also, nancy i forgot to bring this up. i feel bad for my manager and his wife, they are really really nice people they just dont know how to run a business. he told my friends mom (my friend and her mom went to get the news the same time i did) that he was always so confident in my abilities that he didnt worry about anything store related when he knew i was coming in because he knew no matter what the next day when he came in the store would be in perfect condition. he told her that im the best worker hes ever had, and second to me was her daughter. i dont remember if i mentioned it, but he also told me he will be sending me a letter of recommendation and he said if he ever gets another store, or ours reopens and he is called in, he will be calling me and the rest of us first that he wants his team with him where ever he goes.

  140. tributegirl • June 1, 2009 @ 9:17 PM

Wow, well that’s really nice of him to do, and to say! But make sure you get your ROE asap, and get right on that! As far as the dental card, don’t give up on that, you might have just caught someone who was having a bad day, or maybe someone who isn’t experienced. Try again, and if you get that same person, ask for their manager or someone else, or better yet, go there in person. If they still try to deny you, ask them what services you would be eligible for, ask for pamplets, application forms, anything. If you ask them what you would be eligible for, I can’t see them saying “nothing”, but if you are only asking for one particular thing, it might be easier for them to say “no”. Keep your cool, make sure you don’t lose your temper or anything (these places can be pretty frustrating), and if you still don’t get anywhere, try contacting your MLA or MP for help. They want your vote next election, so they may be willing to help.
I hope this makes sense, I’m pretty beat tonight. If you don’t get what I’m saying (I really don’t know if this is worded well or not!) just say so, and when I’m rested I’ll try to clarify.

    Mandee,
If you like, you can tell me what city and province you are in and Ill give you a list of available programs in your area. If not, dont forget that you still qualify for the youth programs with Service Canada. That alone, doubles the options available to you.

  142. Nancy • June 2, 2009 @ 10:00 AM

If you are 18 or older, have no income and your dentist gives you a signed by him/her paper specifically saying that your wisdom teeth “absolutely” have to come out and you take this signed by the dentist paper to community services, they do have to pay to have these teeth removed. Whoever you spoke with has a supervisor and when you request to speak to their surpervisor, they cannot deny you. If they give you the runaround, go to your MP. If there is anything you are ever going to remember in life mandee, here it is…..get EVERYTHING in writing…EVERYTHING. Good luck. 😀

  143. mandee • June 2, 2009 @ 1:10 PM
