Tom Hanks refuses to visit the White House

By Alexa Caruso on December 22, 2017 | 81 Comments

Tom HanksHollywood A-lister and all-around nice guy Tom Hanks has sounded off against President Trump and the White House.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tom commented that he would not accept an invitation to the White House from President Trump for a screening of his new film, the political drama The Post, should the offer be made: “I think that at some point — look, I didn’t think things were going to be this way last November. I would not have been able to imagine that we would be living in a country where neo-Nazis are doing torchlight parades in Charlottesville and jokes about Pocahontas are being made in front of the Navajo code talkers.”

Hanks is referring to the publicity nightmare Trump got himself into after the Charlottesville, Virginia, clash between neo-Nazis and protesters that left one woman dead after being struck by a vehicle, and the culturally insensitive comment he made in front of Native American war veterans.

For Hanks, it’s all about one’s actions reflecting one’s opinions, and as a critic of Trump’s behavior, that’s exactly what he plans to do: “Individually we have to decide when we take to the ramparts. You don’t take to the ramparts necessarily right away, but you do have to start weighing things. You may think: ‘You know what? I think now is the time.’ This is the moment where, in some ways, our personal choices are going to have to reflect our opinions. We have to start voting, actually, before the election. So, I would probably vote not to go.”

You can catch The Post, which is already getting some award-worthy buzz, when it opens wide on January 12. ~Alexa Caruso

You were always a class act Tom Hanks

  3. Glenda • December 22, 2017 @ 5:16 PM

I used to like Tom Hanks, but I am so sick of
Hollywood disrespecting our President. He has the country going in the right direction for the ordinary citizen. These actors can stay in their guarded homes and not be exposed to the criminal element brought in by the refugees and illegals who commit crimes and laugh in our faces while we have to work harder to take care of them. This President cares about the common people and we know it. My options for movies are certainly getting smaller as I refuse to support these rich actors who think we should keep putting money in their pockets and give the rest to support the illegals and refugees. I don’t see any mention of all these Hollywood elites opening their pockets in a big way. Yes, President Trump has an unusual way of governing, but political correctness is over and he tells it like it is. Too bad if you get your little feelings hurt. Don’t go to the white house. Who cares!

  4. Len • December 22, 2017 @ 5:33 PM

Its to bad it has come to this…i applaud Tom but there still needs more to be done and hopefully done thru violence free actions

  5. Randy • December 22, 2017 @ 5:45 PM

Sorry Glenda, Mr. Trump does not tell it like it is. He lies or tells falsehoods over and over. If you refuse to support “rich actors,” why should you you condemn another person who refuses to support a “rich politician” who, when he “tells it like it is,” can’t really figure out how it truly is. Read it and weep:

  6. paul • December 22, 2017 @ 6:32 PM

Glenda your an idiot. Trump cares about the rich and very rich not the poor american people.Glenda you have to be a man cause if your a women you really are clueless.

  7. Brian • December 22, 2017 @ 6:35 PM

You salute the office, not the man. Mr. Trump is the President of the United States of America, duly elected by the people of the United States. As an American citizen, Mr. Hanks needs to put aside his pride and “act” the patriot.

  8. Richard Courchene • December 22, 2017 @ 6:40 PM

I am so hugely glad I do not live in the United States. Not because of who is in charge but because the United States are STILL at each other’s throats over politics. A year after the election and you Americans are still fighting with each other.

  9. Reggie • December 22, 2017 @ 6:45 PM

Glenda: You go girl!! Don’t pay attention to the nit wits. Trump’s ways may be unorthodox, but I’m with you – tired of the cry babies who get their feelings hurt because people are not longer afraid to speak their minds. We have become a nation of sissies under Obama! Glad to be out from under that disaster.

    I always admired Tom Hanks…
    i lOVE him!

  11. Marcus • December 22, 2017 @ 8:32 PM

As someone who is on the outside( of the USA) looking in, i can truly say that the current dufus you have misguiding your country is doing a fantastic job at doing so….the US and its president has lost any credibility with the rest of the world, why would ANY country want to consider a trade deal when we already know the outcome will be onesided……this man is a world abomination!

  12. Jeff • December 22, 2017 @ 10:11 PM

Tom Hanks can do whatever he wants. It’s a free country. The question I have for him is why when Obama was traveling the world over apologizing for our actions was Tom Hanks not up in arms defending our country?

The leftist Democrats in this country have another election coming in November. As a recent movie line remarked, “this may not end the way you think”. Already the result of the tax bill (even at NBC) is not turning out the negative way the leftist Democrats planned.

The question then becomes what replaces the leftist Democrats?

  13. Ted St Germain • December 22, 2017 @ 10:52 PM

To Brian …. so if Adolph Hitler is in the office , is he owed obedience ?
This ” Patriot ” thing excuse / malarkey that Americans thump their chest about to the rest of the world is exactly what America condemned Nazi for … and were the Nazis NOT told that ” JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS ” was not an acceptable excuse ?
So Americans should follow drumpf PATRIOTICLY because he holds the office ?
…. the rest of the world shakes their heads at America because they don’t know history … if you and the rest of Americans DID KNOW SOME HISTORY you would know that …. ” DISSENT ” IS ALSO PATRIOTIC and even more important than the blind dedication to a man just because he holds the office .
: SEE Adolph Hitler < HE HELD THE OFFICE

To Glenda … read the above … LOOK IN YOUR GRADE 9 HISTORY BOOK IF YOU NEED HELP understanding the above .
To you and Brian drumpf is the Emperor , and you would rather see him naked ( Ughhh) than admit that the Emperor wears no clothes !

drumpf should be dragged into a docket and tried for treason … he's a 4 time bankruptcy thief …. and Brian and Glenda want to crown him KING ! good god almighty . We're all going to hell and these two want to show us the way …

One more thing to understand you two … these guys like drumpf do not share power and if ever drumpf ever did become KING it's historically noted that the first people they gathered up are their supporters … Hitler – Stalin – Mao – they all knew that the supporters always come for favours and when they don't get any favors … they are the first ones to revolt… so as a drumpf supporter you should lay low .
To You 2 that know no history … pay attention – he is not your friend !@

    You're welcome !

Well we finally arrived the undereducated whites that have a poor command of the English language and their Champion Trump that will do absolutely nothing for them but as long as he rains upon them and they stare upwards like a chicken they believe everything he says. Well the interlocked eyebrow group is finally got their man in the White House but ask yourself what is Trump going to do for you you work for a living

I know most of you were waiting to get someone like ole Trumpy in the white house and now your true colors are coming out but know this, come the next presidential election in 2020, Ole trumpy is going to get voted out and kicked in the ass out of the oval office, that’s if he doesn’t get impeached first.

Like Colonel Travis at the Alamo. Tom Hanks has drawn a line in the sand and people who care about democracy and the future of our nation should all cross.
Donald Trump is an impostor, a con artist and the most dangerous person on the planet since Hitler almost brought the world to it’s knees. As soon as the special prosecutor delivers the story of how Trump stole the election with the Russians, then the Congress must do their job and impeach him.

I officially turn down my invitation to Tom Hank’s house to have dinner. If he were to invite me I would say no. Which means nothing because I have not been invited and neither has Tom. What a self indulged individual this guy has got to be…..

  26. Paul • December 24, 2017 @ 12:57 AM

Way to go Tom. From the International community it’s hard to tell which country is the “rogue nation”, North Korea or the USA. Way out of control and we know you have Nukes. Get a grip, the world in general thinks you folks are out of touch!Come on back out of the cold and join the International community before it’s too late. You once were respected now it’s mostly pity.

  27. Susan • December 24, 2017 @ 7:01 AM

Tom Hanks was asked about this, and he gave his opinion. THis is his right to do so. And good on him for doing and saying the right thing. I cannot believe that people still like Trump after everything that he has lied about, sexist pig that he is, racist comments, getting his seriously unqualified family these jobs, the list goes on and on….what a joke he is. I wonder how much the American taxpayers are footing for his trips to his golf courses. Amount all his other personal expenses. Where are his tax statements?? They are still being scrutinized??? Come on people…He will be impeached soon so I hope whoever voted for him will finally, finally be embarrassed they put this dangerous control freak in one of the most powerful positions in the world. He is making America a laughing stock, not great…he will never be re-elected in a million years.

  28. Anastasia Michalakeas • December 24, 2017 @ 10:19 AM

I have changed my opinion of you. Why don’t the Liberals at least give the President a chance to make serious changes in our country. We need jobs for our citizens and to help people upgrade our country. What about all the expenses Obama jacked up for his vacations and all the money he spent and put our country in massive debt. Oh, never mind, he is a Democrat. Believe it or not, I was once a Democrat, but the party was going so far left into socialism. The Democratic Party needs to go more center and get rid of Polosi and Schummer. That is all you hear from them NO, NO and more NO’s. How about coming together with the Republicans for the good of the country. By the Way Mr. Hanks, who cares if you do not meet with the President. The movie industry has a one-track mind. Also, the language you used against our President is unbecoming . Oh excuse me, you would have loved the darling Hillary for our President. God help us and our Country if she was elected.

  29. marion • December 24, 2017 @ 1:02 PM

I’m with you Ted; Glenda, you are a moron, I know Tom Hanks would make a great president, Trump is a moron and an embarrassment to America, this episode will definitely go down in history as the biggest joke ever, unfortunately, no joke for the millions of people who will be adversely affected by Trumps lunacy. Way to go Glenda!

  30. liam • December 24, 2017 @ 1:28 PM

Its no problem tom! First you were not invited. Second you are a laughing stock when you said in public there is no chance Trump can win.
Yes, Trump is to blame for Charlottesville, and is a neo-Nazi who recognizes Israel?
Once again you make perfect sense!
Trump called Hillary a nasty women, and she is! That is who you wanted President! (So at the woman’s march it became all woman are nasty! Meanwhile Madonna and Judd blame Trump just as he is taking office; for woman’s abuse and not paying for tampons? What did Bill do to women? What did Obama and Hillary do about paying for tampons?
Glad your not going to the White House tom, could not have an intelligent conversation anyway.

Hello, Mr. Tom Hanks has own opinions and if he doesn’t want to visit the White House then he doesn’t have too! Our President isn’t doing a great job in office. Sure he has made a Tax reform and cut every down , but have you read the reports and who it affects? All of us who make very little money except the corporations and Trump’s cronies! We as a nation will be suffering under his law say five years from now? Maybe more, I for one am waiting for the day Mr. Trump is out of office”Like right NOW”! Trump is not a decent man or cares about the nation. This what I’ve view from his actions and dealings with other countries. It’s ashame we have him in office, I didn’t vote for him. For you out there thinking this man is so great beware of his deeds! I live pay chech to pay. Taxes are going up, gas and food prices are increasing even rent has increased so much that two families are living in 2 bedrooms apartments! Where is Trump to be found helping the lower class of americans!

If Tom Hanks were a narcissistic, self-serving blowhard like Trump he would accept with great satisfaction any invitation to the White House. Trump is truly an amazing phenomenon in American politics. He speaks a total of about 75 words repetitively but is able to capture the imagination of people who want to believe he is for them. Believing that because he is a billionaire he is intelligent and more specifically has some idea about international Politics (which he clearly does not). Sadly, Trump is a tragic commentary on American society. Apparently many Americans believe that people who are wealthy must be ntelligent and capable of leading this country. Hilary certainly had many faults as well. Dont overlook trumps history. Dont drink that Kool-Aid. People who are truly intelligent dont have to continually claim that they are intelligent (something Trump has done many times). Trumps narcissism will be his undoing.Hopefully it will not be Americas and doing as well.

His Psyco KKK father influnced & warped his brain. Power &money corrupted him. Those who take his loyalty pledge, might as well use Jared’s address 666. I try to understand different ideas, but they come up short, Pretend morals, no common sense, no understanding of world events and the unintended consequences. Stupid liberals regurgitating what the media and rich Hollywood elites say. I am so sick of these Hollywood idiots involving politics in everything they do. Stop supporting them. Hanks lives such a cushy life, he has no idea what real people have to deal with or what really goes on outside the pampered, Hollywood bubble. They are so rich, it really does not matter to them who’s elected. All they’re doing is playing a social club game.

Everyday we are learning more of the lies and scandals of the Obama years. Obama left us nothing to be proud of after 8 long painful years of failure. $9.5 trillion in additional national debt with nothing to show for it. Hanks and the Hollywood libertards live in a pretend world. We are now seeing that the real collusion was on the left. The honorable President Trump will soon be handed an exoneration letter by Mueller. Then the prosecution of the Obama era will begin. Hillary’s loss was a repudiation of Obama. President Trump won fair and square, and you snowflake crybabies are poor losers. Grab your playdough and cotton candy liberal pukes. You are better off daily because of Trump, but you are simply to stupid to realize it. I wake up everyday proud of the guy that was elected, and giddy that the idiots that voted incorrectly can’t get over it. Get get on the next train out of the USA with Rosie O. MAGA! We won’t miss any of you.

I have read all of this and peiple are missing the key points. It was insensitive for the President to dishonor the Navajo code talkers. Trump is trying to fix America. I applaud that. I also think Tom Hanks is justified in not accepting a possible visit to the White House. We all have used a cooling off time period. Tom Hanks has always worked hard to show and demonstrate pariotism. He may change his mind later. If not, who made a law forcing us to go visit a place we do not want to see. Relax, it’s Christmas! Good luck to all!

  49. Randy • December 26, 2017 @ 9:10 AM

No, the pro Trumpers have lots to say about the current situation, the previous administration, and can write extensively about the scandals, lies, and cover ups of the Obama Era. You people of few words only have name calling and the race card. I’ll bet you know your way to the welfare office though. MAGA! I’m still waiting on my, “$2500 per family check under the ACA, and getting to keep my doctor if I like my doctor.” This President is whipping the pants off of ISIS (the little terrortist organization created because of Obama), but they were only JV. We are winning the war on drugs. Two weeks ago the US bombed ten opium factories in Afghanistan. These factories were the revenue stream to ISIS. Barackie couldn’t do that. He brought nothing to the WH. No skills (except reading from a teleprompter), and a bimbo wife that couldn’t even produce a school lunch program that was edible. They had to scrap the program. Fifty-two percent of the school children tossed the lunch.

  50. Dianne • December 26, 2017 @ 9:55 AM

Tom Hanks what you think about our President does not matter to me. You at one time were my favorite actor, but you have just showed me how shallow minded you are and that you cant see what this President has been able to accomplish but all this being said you need to concentrate on where you are going to spend eternity, unless you accept Christ as your savior, you will spend eternity in hell, it is a real place. All the money in the world and all the popularity in the world will not help you. You must accept Christ, His return is sure, be ready. I dont care if you accept President Trump, but I do pray for your soul.

Thank you, Chris, for admitting that you made a mistake by voting for Trump. Not only has he put the USA in a vulnerable position with N. Korea, but he has deepened the divide in our country. He has yet to visit a venue in a city that he did not win. He’d be unable to answer the difficult questions he might receive. He was not joking when he said, “I love the uneducated!” when he was campaigning. It’s so easy for him to respond to his base by using simple phrases like, “Trust me” and “Believe me”.
I commend all of those who can acknowledge that their vote for him was an error. Now we need to move forward to the midterm elections to shake up the dis-order in Congress.

  53. Steve • December 26, 2017 @ 12:24 PM

Personally, I probably would disagree with Tom Hanks politically and personally but have to admit he is one of the All-Time greats in his field. I have to separate my personal opinion of his politics from his talent. Im intelligent enough to do that.
Same with Trump. I have to respect the Presidency regardless of who currently holds the office. I actually liked Obama on a personal level but despised his politics and leadership. I did however, respect the office of the President while he was there. Right now I feel the party of tolerance is the the most intolerant group Ive ever seen! Almost childish at times. It really is pathetic to watch. I feel sympathetic to them for their ignorant behavior at times.
On another note, If Hillary Clinton invites me to something, I am NOT attending! But, then again, I havent been invited yet have I?

  54. Bill • December 26, 2017 @ 12:26 PM

Tom Hanks like other citizens of this country have the right to express their beliefs when asked. The fact of the matter is that while rich and powerful in industry the president has failed top grasp that he no longer runs a kingdom in business with basically no one to tell him what is right and wrong. He now runs a nation with laws and governing policies that have lasted over 200 years. And in order to run this government he has resorted to a playbook tried and proven in the 1930’s written and implemented by a German and his loyal cronies. This playbook ultimately caused the death of over 20 million people over the principal that one group was superior to all others. The playbook started with a few premises. Tell a lie three times and they will believe. denounce the press as liars if they told a story not along the party line. Pick a scapegoat or scapegoats and revile.
In speech, manners, beliefs, and actions the current is destroying the nation.

  55. Chris • December 26, 2017 @ 1:43 PM

  56. Randy • December 26, 2017 @ 1:45 PM

Sure, Hanks has the right to express his opinion. Very cocky to think that he would be invited to the WH though. But, we as movie goers get to vote with our attendance, therefore, our wallets. A large part of America disagrees with his views, and that was proven by the EC on NOV 8, 2016. Those same Americans cringed for 8 years as Obama slowly dismantled this country. It is because of Bill Clinton and BHO that NK is the problem that it is. They kicked the can down the road. Now DT and his awesome cabinet will fix that problem. New military technology will take out the ICBM”s, and the USA will prevail. NK will be punished if they continue their attempts. They will get BITCH slapped. BHO spent more during his reign of error, than all 43 previous presidents combined. And we have NOTHING to show for it. We can all sleep better at night knowing we have the A Team at the helm. BHO and Crooked Hillary brought nothing to the FIX. Soon they will be prosecuted for their crimes.

Well, Einstein, Trump’s IQ is higher than Crooked Hillary”s and BHO’s. He has a proven track record of success, and the MSM lied to you before, and they are lying to you now. I would check your news source. Trump slaughtered Clinton with 1/7th the money expended, and she has 57 excuses as to why she lost. She blames everyone from the DNC, BHO, Comey, Donna Brazille, Russia, Bill’s girlfriends, her panty hose. etc. She was a flawed candidate with no message. She was a terrible alternative. The wise American voters could figure that out. I hope youn didn’t waste your vote.

To all the Trumpler fans: after Donnie is through enriching himself and his associates, finished with destroying the country as we know it, finished with destroying our once stellar international reputation, you will still be ignorant pawns, all the while whining that ” we didn’t know” ( just like the German population did after WW2). Do you seriously believe Trumpler gives the smallest damn about you little guys? There will come a day when you WISH Obama was still president ( whom I don’t even like that much) and you could afford your beer and bullets. Hats off to Hanks and all personages who actually care about the citizenry. Wearing a flag pin on your $2,000 suit doesn’t make you a Patriot!

You are a great actor and lousy American. I would not have thought of you as such before, and i will not go to see you or Streep or any of you in Hollywood that think the way you do. You are entitled to your own political opinion but as an american you should support your president.

  61. Chris • December 26, 2017 @ 2:38 PM

trump is a card carrying idiot who happens to be mentally unstable. If you haven’t been able to figure that out after all this time, YOU are part of the problem. Please refrain from voting.

  62. Sheldon • December 26, 2017 @ 2:56 PM

Stick to what you know best: acting, and not politics. Disgusting to hear your comments and from others that feel that way. You don’t like it hear, leave. Although I don’t like how he says things at times, I believe he says it the way it is and I think he is doing a great job. Unlike any of your other phony politicians (i.e., hillary, obama, schumer, and those others in both parties) who only act and say what will benefit them for votes or pockets. Trump is our last hope. It is sickening to me that any one living here and enjoying the freedoms and benefits of our country, speak against it, that includes those with or w/o money (Hanks, Streep, etc.). And supporting illegals? Forget it,

Im with Glenda, Sheldon and others. Who cares if you, Tom Hanks, and any others, dont go to the White House. Bless President Trump for what he is attempting to accomplish. Im sick and tired of having worked all my adult life and now seeing money given freely to those who dont or wont work. Go home, (if your from another country), and if your a citizen and chose not to work, live on the street; its your choice.

It is refreshing to see so many blue collar workers trying to comment with their limited knowledge of how Washington works. They drank the Kool-Aide and they believe what they hear from a man who built his business with no real integrity, we have seen this to be true by people who have actually worked with him and his businesses. And as for the way he talks about women with no respect, this is not acceptable. One commenter said we should respect the office of the President we should, now when is Mr. Trump going too? Tom Hanks has the right to say and feel they way he does, so let him. I speak from experience, I work with Legislators all the time at both levels Federal and State, my hope is that the 2020 election will bring a President to this country that can lead the people, not someone who is so self-absorbed with himself. My one wish is we do away with the electoral college and let the peoples vote count. It is my right to voice an opinion and that makes this country great!

  67. Bill • December 26, 2017 @ 6:01 PM

Glenda & Reggie at among those who look thur rose colored glasses. If your President Condones wrong openly. Lies openly ,repeating tweets the most stupid mess he can think of. To top it off he will fired anybody that tells him he lying or WRONG for that matter. His state of mind in concern because he has managed to republican against each other, spilt the nation into many section in effort to” MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” During what period of years was America Great? This question has not”NOT” been answered by NO_ONE. of course a few will address the question, but they won’t and can’t ANSWER the question. We have 36 month to become great, hum in who’s eye will we ( America ” become ” GREAT??? Trump was elected on the same ground as HILTER. the country wanted to try somebody different that wasn’t a politician, YEAH look what happen to Germany. Germany actually got better AFTER Hitler not during.

I hope and pray that all of you who are so opposed to the President will decline any type of pay increase because of the Presidents efforts to improve the economy. Hanks, what a fool you are and to believe that I once thought that you were the only sensible person in Hollywood. May all of your Hollywood movies be bombs.

  69. Steve • December 26, 2017 @ 7:53 PM

Hanks is still embarrassed by his prediction of the election. I think that man (Trump) will be president right about the time when spaceships come down filled with dinosaurs in red capes, Hanks told Sky News in April, 2016.

Russia Put 45 in power, the video Russia has gives them(Russia)leverage, in terms of sanctions and future land grabs in Ukraine, etc. I find it so sad that any human can swallow what the PRETENDSIDENT says, his is a petulant 2 year old just out of kindergarten, unless he gets his way, he takes his toys and gets on Twitter like a complete ass.
Those defenders seem to think if there is a complete eclipse, it has to the “Dems”.

Just look at the mistake of electing Obummer. Hillary would have been a ditto. BHO had zero qualifications. 172 days as a senator, only to spend that time writing a book about himself and his father. He had no special skills. Couldn’t produce his college transcripts. Produced nothing, manufactured nothing, and created nothing. Didn’t author one piece of legislation, and always voted PRESENT. Listened to Rev. Wright for 20 years, and was filled full of racism and hatred. 8 years of his failed policies will take decades to recover. Never has the country been more divided than under Obummer. No problem understanding why Trump was elected. He is his own man, and is beholding to no one. The Swamp and the Deep State are very real. Obummer is the reason that Trump was elected. All the snowflakes wanted a Black President at all costs. Barack said it was Hillary’s turn. With this voter mentality, we are doomed. Even with the Russians helping Hillary, she couldn’t get elected.

Amazing how uninformed folks are regarding us history and what democracy looks and stands for. I agree with tom’s opinion. Trump is a reality showman not a politician nor a person of integrity. He bragged about not paying taxes, being a sexual deviant, refused to honor contracts with vendors, mocks our servicemen, and is an embarrassment for our country. Trumps strongest supporter are the ones who will be hurt the most. He doesn’t support safety nets, such as food stamps, medicaid, medicare, social security, and most recently signed the Republican bill that will cause thousands of folks to loose the health insurance they finally became eligible for. Wake up folks. This isn’t about political party. It’s about democracy and what America stands fot.

  78. Doyle Scott • December 27, 2017 @ 2:16 AM

Joseph…I’d sure love some of whatever you’re smoking right now. Even my 7 year old has a better grasp of history than you do. There is so much false information in your comment, I wouldn’t know where to begin but maybe the simplest for you to grasp might be to check out the Dow & the unemployment rate when Obama took over & then check out those same figures when he left. The horse was well out of the gate before Trump took over.

  79. Joseph • December 27, 2017 @ 7:48 AM

Well, Doyle Scott, that Obama horse was a slow starter with only one gait, slow and slower. We all know that his Obama lovin’ GAO was constantly fudging the numbers, especially before election time. I happen to test drug free today. What’s your excuse Scottie? Somebody tweak your dole downward Doyle? Poor baby! Obama’s legacy will soon be unidentifiable under a microscope, except for his criminal record. Too bad about the Muslim-in-Chief. Some of us knew it from the beginning. No wonder Obamass is torked. He is now observing how to trully run a country, whip ISIS, and fix immigration. They will find his real birth certificate one of these days. I will only remember the worst President in history for having given you an extra bathroom to choose from. He is the 8 year, 9 1/2 trillion dollar mistake. This country will never recover because of the mistake the American people made in 2008. Thank you fellow Doylites and George Soros!

  80. Anne • December 27, 2017 @ 10:16 AM

Tom Hanks, you have lost another viewer. Trump is helping the middle class …. which I am. You and the majority of the entertainment group don’t even know what middle class is. Shame on you.

  81. CDubya • December 27, 2017 @ 7:36 PM

Simply wow. Name calling towards the US Prez and a well respected actor as well as each other. This is why ‘they’ say there’s 2 things you should never discuss- politics and religion. There’s a reason the rest of the world had to abstain or vote no an the latest UN issue of Jerusalem. Hell it’s not even ‘the latest’ issue, it’s been around for decades. The WORLD does not want to get bullied or bought by the USA and the comments from ‘Merica after the vote was counted was amazing. The USA couldn’t believe they weren’t supported. Hmmmm if hundreds are against you, maybe there’s a valid reason to consider and be open to.
Anyway, Freedom of Speech is something afforded to Tom Hanks and he has the right to refuse even going to the White House.
Cheers to everyone and hoping for a great least one where a new war doesn’t get started.

The quotes of the leading candidate for President from the Democratic Party on the economy”–We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” – said by Hillary Rodham Clinton on June 28, 2004 on the occasion of a fundraiser for Senator Barbara Boxer in San Francisco.” “I want to take those profits [of the oil companies] and put them into an alternative energy fund that will begin to fund alternative smart energy alternatives that will actually begin to move us toward the direction of independence.” Hillary Rodham Clinton, Democratic winter meetings, Washington, D. C. April 2, 2007.” “This is not government run. There will be no new bureaucracies. You can keep the doctors you know and trust. You keep the insurance you have if you like it. HRC, during the 2007 campaign (first quoted before BHO used the phrase). The moron that said she couldn’t remember 39 times during a Congressional Grilling, wrote a book about WHAT HAPPENED in explicit dishonest detail.

Thank you Mr. Hanks. As to all the trumpers spreading yet more hate and vileness, they are the reason we are in this mess, but like everyone that wants to blame their bad choices on to someone else that is what they are doing in these posts. You are classy Mr. Hanks and I am so glad that you and millions of others are there to help save our Constitution and our country. The t followers want the US destroyed or they would never have voted for this man. He is horrendous.
