Twilight star Nikki Reed has private weekend wedding

Twilight star Nikki Reed, 23, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale in the franchise, married American Idol contestant Paul McDonald, 27, on Saturday in front of 100 friends and family during a private ceremony in Malibu. The two met last March at the Red Riding Hood premiere while American Idol was still taping. All the contestants were brought to the premiere and McDonald, who’d never seen a Twilight movie, didn’t know who Nikki was, but they formed an instant attraction. The clip of them meeting aired on an episode of the talent competition. They began dating in April, followed by their engagement in June. Nikki told Us Weekly: “We couldn’t be happier. We were surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come.”
