Two and a Half Men star begs viewers to stop watching

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 26, 2012 | 9 Comments

A video just surfaced in which Two and a Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones refers to the show as “filth” and begs viewers not to watch. “If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” he says in the clip. “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch.” Warner Bros. and CBS have not yet commented on his statement. It’s not known if this will effect Jones’ acting career, but the show, which replaced Charlie Sheen with Ashton Kutcher, will almost certainly not run for another season. Watch his testimony below.

I think Angus needs to do a little more “research” himself.

No wonder he plays “Jake” so well… turns out he’s not acting! He is just as easily led and nearly as stupid as his tv alter ego. Pretty sure his career is over and we are going to hear about him preaching out of the back of a truck in the future. So sad that religion can mess with people so bad! Just say “no” to organized religions and cults! Besides, doesn’t that Bible teach respect? Because he certainly doesn’t have any for the people he works with and for. Loser! And I love the show… maybe they should kill “Jake” off and change the title to Two Men in Malibu!

T.V and media does effect our subconious mind so we don’t realize it. Also it has nothing to do with religion… morons. This kid has balls and I think it’s amazing this show is still running without charlie sheen. Who knows if this kid has a future in show biz. I didn’t think Ke$hia would have a future and yet here she still is 4 or 5 years later.

Kick him to the curb and replace him with Justin Bieber.

I think people like Candy are missing the point completely. You don’t have to be religious to see that the show is filth. I’m assuming you’re a woman based on your screen name, so why’re you defending a show that has such a gross misogynistic portrayal of women? All women are either sex objects or bitches according to Two and a Half Men, but let’s bash the guy who points this out because he’s religious?

Even the conception of the show was filth. It was about an innocent boy being exposed to his uncle’s party lifestyle and how he navigates that negative environment.

You make it seem like he said, “You should stop watching the show because God is telling you not to!” He’s pointing out the obvious fact that the show is filthy. Stop hating on other people for believing something different than you.

This guy’s weird. I respect people of faith, but I despise fanatics that threaten you to their way of thinking. Challenging the concept of compromise/ telling people to fear GOD are simply poor ways to live one’s life.

Also, he’s being quite the hypocrite to bite the hand that fed him for so long. If he hates his job (and can’t quit) than maybe he should give away ALL his past and present earnings to a church of his choice.

    I agree with Nobody Important.
Seriously, if he doesn’t like it, move on. Religion has nothing to do with it. That’s a cop out for almost anything. If people want to watch it then fine, but I gave up long ago on the show only because it just stopped being entertaining to me. Thanks a lot Ashton.

He probably didn’t have a choice as to whether he was on the show or not. He’s only just become a legal adult in California and I’m sure once his contract runs out, he’ll leave the show whether it continues or not. Regardless, he thinks the show is a piece of filth and dumbs down people’s brains. He has a valid point.

Master Jones can always get a job at McDonald’s.
“Would you like some fries to go with that, Sir?”
