Tyler Perry’s studios in flames

Late Tuesday night, director Tyler Perry’s Atlanta based studios were up in flames. The studio includes five sound stages, a back lot, office headquarters and a 400-seat theatre spread out over 200,000 square feet. Witnesses’ claim the flames extended over six stories high and caused popping sounds inside the studio. Currently, the cause of the fire is unknown, but it has been reported one or two of the buildings have partially collapsed. “The fire’s out, but the cause remains under investigation,” Capt. Jolyon Bundrige with the Atlanta Fire Department told the AJC. “About midnight several fire units were still on the scene.” The Atlanta Police Department has confirmed there are no known injuries or deaths at this time. Perry is currently working on upcoming films Madea’s Witness Protection and The Marriage Counselor. ~Graeme Mollison

The worst news of this article, for me, is knowing that there’s going to be another Madea’s film.
