I just don’t “get” Oprah and the power she wields in this world.

Me either. I always liked her show until she got her holier-than-thou attitude. I’m not saying she’s a bad person or anything, but I just find that she is very annoying now, she seems to think she knows all, and is above all.

Oprah sucks!!! She’s overrated!!! I don’t like her a bit!!! But I do like her money 🙂

Oprah is a cult with mindless followers that can’t make decisions for themselves.

  5. tammy • June 12, 2008 @ 3:48 PM

I think that all these people have way too much when half of the world has nothing….but at least some of the people on this list donate alot of their money….and I agree that Oprah is a little annoying but she does good things with her millions…

  6. tributegirl • June 12, 2008 @ 6:47 PM

She does, and that is one thing that I really do like about her, like that school she built in Africa for girls. That was very cool of her.

Miley Cyrus? That just shows you how warped the survey is…

  8. Lexie • June 13, 2008 @ 9:30 PM

It just means Miley made a lot of money in the past year. That’s why she’s on the list.

Oprah is a billionaire! How could you say she don’t deserve to be on this list! Just cause you don’t watch her show doesn’t mean no one else does!! Do you realize how much is cost to advertise on her show??

  10. Santa • June 14, 2008 @ 2:14 AM

    Wasn’t there some controversy over Oprah’s school? Regardless, she’s a future U.S. President…

Oprah….a overbearing, self-righteous, opinionated person, who thinks she knows everything. It’s good that people are finally beginning to see her “true-colour”.

well, i dont watch oprah, yet i think the comments here are from jealous people. from all i read she does a LOT of philanthropy. She gives good guidance to her fans, and we should be happy that someone does so much public GOOD with their time and money – unlike many idle rich & big corporations that make little or no effort to improve the world. GO OPRAH !!

And why is she building schools in africa when there are lots of needy people here…she should be helping kids in her own country…oh right there are alot of needy white kids here and she doesn’t want to help them only the black kids so she goes to africa to build her school…she sucks!

  14. Nancy • June 14, 2008 @ 6:53 PM

Well, we, as a whole, pay tax….to a government….which builds and pays for schools. The African government doesn’t give a sh*t!! That is why Oprah cares and helps them.

  15. Nancy • June 14, 2008 @ 6:54 PM

Colour has nothing to do with it!

  16. Mary • June 14, 2008 @ 7:39 PM

Do you really think OPRAH gives a sh*t what any body thinks of her. More POWER to her she worked from the bottom upto become who she is today. I’m sure if we knew how many charities she sponsors in the USA we would be amazed. So what if she built a school in Africa she built it for GIRLS who would never have the chance to be educated. It’s her money she can do what she wants with it.

What does Oprah’s color have to do with anything? Are y’all jealous cuz a Black woman’s at the top of the list?

  18. Test • June 15, 2008 @ 1:32 PM

    Wait…. Oprah’s Black???!!!

    Since when?

  19. Johnny Boy • June 15, 2008 @ 2:35 PM

Oprah and Bill Gates are two people who I highly respect… there are a lot or rich people in this world who don’t do nearly anything when they can…. I don’t watch her show, but anyone who gives back as much as her is a great human being to me.

  20. tammy • June 16, 2008 @ 4:49 PM

Hey johnny boy why do you respect Bill Gates?

  21. Nancy • June 16, 2008 @ 8:20 PM

I would suspect that Johnny Boy knows that Bill and Melinda Gates are VERY generous with their $millions$!! They truly are….anyone knows that!
