Gerard Butler assault charges dropped

Assault charges against Scottish actor Gerard Butler were dropped yesterday by a Los Angeles judge after hearing the actor had completed 50 hours of community service. The charges were due to a scuffle with a photographer following a premiere party for Butler’s movie RocknRolla on October 7, 2008. The incident occurred after a photographer had tailed Butler throughout the day. He then raced through red lights, almost hitting two pedestrians in pursuit of Butler’s vehicle. Butler’s driver stopped the car and the actor got out to confront the photographer, punching him in the mouth. Butler and the photographer reached an undisclosed settlement before yesterday’s court hearing. ~Alexandra Heilbron

I would have done a citizen arrest on the stupid photographer and had him charged. I wonder how much those photos were worth to be driving so dangerous….Its just like cab drivers driving fast and speeding with “0” regard for pedestrains and thinking their invincible to the law. I have only seen cab drivers get warnings from Police but rarely see them get a ticket for reckless driving.
