Heigl rep shoots down salary demand rumors

Katherine HeiglKatherine Heigl‘s representative has lashed out at reports that the actress was dropped from an upcoming A-list movie ensemble due to her high salary demands.
The Grey’s Anatomy and Knocked Up star was expected to join Hollywood superstars Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner and Anne Hathaway in the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, due to hit screens in 2011.
But according to online rumored reports, Heigl was booted out of the all-star casting line-up after demanding $3 million dollars for a maximum of 14 days of shooting.
Heigl’s publicist refutes the rumors, insisting the actress just decided not to take part in the film. “The story is ludicrous. Early negotiations are a daily occurrence in this business, and just for clarification, Katherine walked away from this project for multiple reasons.”

Alot of hollywood fire power for this film but…Katherine might be doing the right thing since major actresses in one film does not mean a hit in todays market.

Although I adore her but she has always been a bit stuck up. When she was on Roswell tv series she did interviews belittling it like she was embarrassed to be on it. Same goes for Greys she seems to be above it 😉

how can you be above anything that makes you famous? these actors/actresses/singers these days seem to have no respect for their fans, or the shows etc that have made them who they are. its sickening.

  8. tributegirl • May 30, 2009 @ 9:46 PM

So she didn’t drop out because of salary expectations? Good, because that would be really stuck up of her.

  9. ke • May 30, 2009 @ 10:59 PM

the thing is, i can see her becoming a diva.

  10. Nancy • May 30, 2009 @ 11:02 PM

lol i knew that would piss you off 🙂 youre so predictable. perhaps now that you can spell you should consider working on that terrible personality of yours?

  14. moondog • May 31, 2009 @ 5:51 PM

  15. lily • June 1, 2009 @ 6:55 PM

Tribute can you look at the 3:06 comment by moondog and find ANY redeeming value in it? Its just really really rude.

  16. Jo-Anne • June 2, 2009 @ 7:49 AM

lily….there’s actually no “redeeming” value in an overwhelming number of posts on here, it should be a harmless opinion site…should you or anyone find it otherwise, well you know what your options are…

  17. Nancy • June 2, 2009 @ 9:17 AM

Well Jo-Anne, I know you couldn’t possibly have been referring to any of my posts but I feel I must let you know that if you didn’t instigate BS and treat others opinions ON THE TOPIC ARTICLES as though they are beneath yours of course, then things would run quite smoothly on this site! So yeah….”you know what your options are…”

  18. Jo-Anne • June 2, 2009 @ 10:05 AM

    not “other’s opinions”…just yours….

  19. Nancy • June 2, 2009 @ 10:42 AM

Exactly! And the ONLY reason for that would be jealousy.

  20. Jo-Anne • June 2, 2009 @ 1:30 PM

seems to be the sole reason you console yourself with…

  21. Nancy • June 2, 2009 @ 4:18 PM

Seems to be the only reason that makes sense…

Why else would it be, Jo-Anne? You only seem to have your little “hate-on” for me so….?? Even when someone else gives the same opinion that I do, you pick at and degrade mine so, why would it be then?

  22. lily • June 2, 2009 @ 6:44 PM

Jo-Anne (7:49) I don’t consider rude, mean bashing to be “harmless” but I guess its your rite to support moondog if thats your opinion. Its not like he’s even trying to be funny like you and Nancy with each other, he just sounds ignorent and almost thretening. I just wanted mandee to know she sounds nice and i don’t think she deserves to be treated so mean. I think thats still an option for me, right?

  23. Jo-Anne • June 2, 2009 @ 10:09 PM

why would you ask me that last question, lily? the answer is obvious…

I’m not supporting moondog at all…

    I don’t find Nancy funny, ever…just rude and uneducated…

  24. Nancy • June 3, 2009 @ 8:54 AM

Actually, I am funny…you just have no sense of humour…”painfully obvious”! I’m also quite educated and am exactly where I want to be in life…”painfully obvious” that you’re not. Hahaha!!!!!

  25. Nancy • June 3, 2009 @ 8:55 AM

Oh, and as for me being “rude”….I guess, if that is what you want to call it…yeah, I’m rude to you for not putting up with your BS.

  26. Jo-Anne • June 4, 2009 @ 9:36 AM

yeah, that’s what I want to call it…

  27. Nancy • June 4, 2009 @ 5:58 PM

Good…then I guess we’re two peas from the same pod then, huh?

  28. Yawnie • June 6, 2009 @ 12:26 PM

Katherine is not a Diva. And the movie has already been spoiled. It would have been a good cast if old “horse face” herself hadn’t been included. May “HF” is the reason Katherine walked away. There are already two other beautiful women in Anne & Jennifer. Maybe horseface couldn’t stand being upstaged by three beautiful women. HF’s diva attitude spoils anything she’s attached to. Time for her to retire out to pasture.
