News from Hollywood’s casting couch

As the year winds to an end, many more productions are in the works for 2013 in Hollywood. Here are some of the most exciting casting tidbits released in the last week. Kristen Stewart, who was enjoying a lengthy break as her latest movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 hit theaters, has been confirmed to star opposite Ben Affleck in an as-yet untitled film about con artists. The very funny star and co-writer of Bridesmaids, Kristen Wiig, is teaming up with her Saturday Night Live co-star Bill Hader in a comedy called The Skeleton Twins, about estranged siblings. Mark Walhberg has been extremely busy lately. He bulked up for Michael Bay‘s Pain & Gain co-starring Dwayne Johnson and will re-team with Bay for the upcoming Transformers 4. Acclaimed director Werner Herzog is helming the biopic Queen of the Desert and has gotten not only Robert Pattinson to star, but Jude Law and Naomi Watts as well. The movie recounts the adventures of the real-life “female” Lawrence of Arabia – Gertrude Bell. Vince Vaughn is another busy actor – he’s wrapped The Internship with Owen Wilson, is currently filming The Delivery Man (an English-language version of the French-Canadian film Starbuck) and has just signed on to the action-thriller Triple Time, directed by former A Christmas Story child star Peter Billingsley.
