Lindsay Lohan confirmed for Gotti flick

By Alexandra Heilbron on April 21, 2011 | 13 Comments

Stories have been flying back and forth about whether or not Lindsay Lohan would be playing a role in the mob family biopic Gotti: Three Generations, with reports yesterday confirming she was out. However, it’s a different story today, with the announcement that she’ll be playing Kim Gotti, the wife of John Gotti Jr.) not Victoria, as originally announced). The movie’s producer, Marc Fiore, explained to People.com that it was Lohan herself who negotiated her role in the movie just hours after it had been confirmed to the media that she wouldn’t be in it. “She was definitely out as of earlier today, but she really wanted the part,” he said on Wednesday. “She not only is back in the movie, but she single-handedly put it all together. She called me personally and put her team on it, and we came to an agreement.” The film will be Lohan’s first big role in approximately five years, since her drug and alcohol problems became public. Her last starring appearance in a major motion picture was in the box office bomb I Know Who Killed Me, which was filmed in 2006.

Is this a joke Meghan? Man I hope so. Good actress and nice juicy role, might give her some credibility back.

LOL! Why would any producer in their right mind want to do this to him /herself?

  6. Andrea • April 21, 2011 @ 5:17 PM

She only had a supporting role in Machete, she didn’t star in it.

This COULD revitalize her career. It could be juicy role and she has a clear enough head to push real hard to get it. Besides bio-pics get huge attention (see Ray or Ali, or Walk The Line -major nominations and wins!)

@J.B.- They said “First BIG role”. Her role in Machete was a small role.

I’m surprised they were able to insure her, but I wish her the best of luck. This kind of a role will likely suit her.

Between violating the conditions of her parole and likely being found guilty in that necklace stealing incident, she’ll probably be wearing an orange jumpsuit for quite some time. When will she be able to work?

    So… Lindsay “negotiated” the role herself… I wonder… That’s Grrrreat!

I wonder when this is filming? She may be serving time in jail instead.
