Mel Gibson wants baby to pay rent

Mel Gibson wants his 11-month-old daughter Lucia to “pay rent.” The actor – who is engaged in a bitter custody battle with Lucia’s mother Oksana Grigorieva – is reportedly refusing to pay his court-ordered monthly child support until the judge rules on whether he can charge rent for the Los Angeles home where they live. A source close to Oksana told RadarOnline.com: “It’s simple – Mel wants baby Lucia to pay rent. Mel is holding out on the child support that has been ordered by a judge because he wants to charge Lucia $6,000 each month for rent, even though she is not yet 12 months old, to live in the home where she and her mother reside. What kind of a father would do that to his daughter?” Oksana’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, called Mel – who is worth an estimated $600 million – a “deadbeat dad,” saying: “He has a lot of excuses as to why he is not paying, but the bottom line is that, just like any ordinary person, who has to pay their court-ordered child support, wealthy celebrities also have to pay it too.”

… Am I the only one who clicks on these types of stories just to see what else the press can come up with to try and cloud everyone’s viewpoint of any celebrity?

Mel needs mental assistance. Seriously. He’s been off his rocker for quite a few years.

it sounds to me like hes trying to charge the babys MOTHER and the media and the mother are trying to make it sound like hes trying to charge the baby. if they are living in his house, why should he have to pay child support when he is already paying for their shelter?

Bollocks!! Whenever there’s a separation, they always bring the kids into it, to gain leverage over the the other to get the sympathy vote. Breakups never end in a handshake….

how is he being deadbeat if he is providing a home for them to live in??!! And they say he is reportedly worth $600 mil but before Oksana claimed he is broke……so which is it?? The reporting on these sites are garbage! Nothing is black and white, there are two sides to EVERY story. She can’t be that innocent if she was willing to break up a marriage of 20 or 30 years with what, like 10 kids!? When you point a finger, there are 4 more pointing back at you!!! Do people seriously think he is charging the baby rent?? If you do, get a brain!

Greg, I think you have a point. This seems like a pretty bitter custody battle. I think its pretty well understood that no 12-month old will have to pay rent though!

I think Mandee hit that one right on the head. It was the first thing that came to my mind as well. If he is paying child support that is one thing but if the mother and daughter are living in a house which was paid for by him then the mother should be paying rent for both the daughter and herself. This to me is a clear case of the dad trying to fight back against the mother.

Is this for real or a movie script??

MS V, I know, the whole situation sounds pretty unbelievable!
