Miley Cyrus was voted the worst celebrity influence of 2010 in an online poll conducted by AOL’s Just So You Know website. The 18-year-old Hannah Montana star, who’s dating Joshua Bowman, the co-star of her upcoming movie, So Undercover, registered a generous 42 percent of the 99,000 votes in the poll. This marks the second year she’s scored the top prize. Additionally, 30 percent of the site’s users said they’re “over her” altogether. Britney Spears managed to snag second place with 27 percent of the votes, while Kanye West placed third at 19 percent. Vanessa Hudgens was far behind with 9 percent for nude photos that were leaked online, while Shia LaBeouf only earned 3 percent in fifth place for his drunk driving arrest. According to the New York Daily News, just weeks after Miley was caught on video smoking salvia from a bong, she was photographed lifting her shirt almost to her chest in a gay club. Interestingly, Bowman, 22, is Amy Winehouse’s ex-boyfriend.

I think your all bein alittle harsh.. shes 18 she is aloud to make mistakes and learn from them. i think that lindsey should be #1 she doesnt seem to learn from anything! i dont think miley should be #1 she can be in the top 20 and thats fine, but look at charlie, mel, lindsey. like they should be top 5. i am 21 i do have a child, i am a miley fan i watched hannah with my neice and she nos that she can look up to Hannah montana and like miley for some of her songs and really she adores hannah, not a huge fan of miley. so really u can let ur kids watch her show just let them look up the the character hannah montana.
As a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother I still see Miley as a role model for young people. I see her as very respectful and seems to be a great family member. I also think she has very good acting abilities for a person as young as she is. I made way more mistakes I’m sure, by the time I was her age, than she has, and I turned out to be a good person. I do a lot of volunteer work even though I had to put myself through courses to finally get a good job. I made it and am very proud of myself and I think Miley is on the right track. I think most of you people who are putting her down are jealous of her. I wonder, are you perfect????
Hannah Montana is a fictional character, Miley Sirus is real there is a difference. Surely there are better role models than smiley Miley. The only reason she apologized for her actions recently are probably due to the fact her star is fading and falling from the sky but underneath it all she’s still the spoiled immoral brat.

I don’t hate Miley Cyrus because I’m jealous. I hate her because I have common sense. She’s a poor role model; deal with it.
Miley Cyrus is just a hick. It’s too bad that Disney and her Pimp father, helped to ruin her life. While she was playing a make believe role for Disney, her parents failed too instill any morels and principles in the young girl. And, you can see the results today. A young woman completely devoid of any style and substance. She can’t even tie her own shoes. Look at the picture!! But she is worth hundreds of millions of dollars though. To red-neck Republicans, that’s all that matters anyway.
Actually, she has a beautiful voice and some really great songs. If people would only judge these young people for their actual talent and not stuff made up and real about how they act it would be great. She’s not a bad actress either. OK SERIOUSLY!! Miley isnt exactly the best role model at this point in her life while trying to escape the Hannah Montana image. Yes she has done some provocative things to recreate herself which im sure was more from a mangement stand point to find a way for her to make money outside of her children friendly acting/singing career.
But honestly take a second and think about the amount of actually serious trouble Linday Lohan and Mel Gibson have gotten into over the year. Linday keeps on racking up charges and going in and out of rehab. Miley hasnt reached this yet and may or may never get to that point.

well if this is all they have to vote and talk about ….what about charlie sheen? there are countless others who have bad reps that have done far worse than Smiley Miley… of course it does not hurt her just makes her more “out” there publicity wise…. I don’t think there are many celebrities that have not been slammed for little or nothing….aren’t we the unknown lucky that we are not under a microscope.
