The Little Stranger on Blu-rayWhat’s new on DVD and Blu-ray this week? Only the hit film Searching starring John Cho, which we very highly recommend. You can also catch Domhnall Gleeson in the spooky horror film The Little Stranger, and Amy Adams in the HBO series Sharp Objects. Check out all the new releases below. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Searching – When recently widowed father David Kim (John Cho) misses several late night FaceTime calls from his 16-year-old daughter Margot and discovers the next morning that she’s missing, he goes into her laptop to look for clues. Although David hopes Margot has just run away, evidence points to the fact that something sinister may have happened. Click here to buy the Blu-ray.

The Little Stranger – In 1949, Dr. Faraday (Domhnall Gleeson), a country doctor, is called to see a patient at a rundown 18th-century estate. Mrs. Ayres (Charlotte Rampling) lives there with her son Roderick (Will Poulter), who’s suffering both physically and mentally from his experiences as a pilot during WWII. Faraday has been called to examine Roderick, who asserts there’s something evil in the house, but Faraday believes he’s having delusions that seem to be contagious. Click here to buy the Blu-ray.

It means Camille will have to see her mother Adora (Patricia Clarkson), Adora’s new husband (Henry Czerny) and their daughter, Camille’s half-sister Amma. When the second missing girl’s body is found, it forces Camille to confront the demons from her past. Click here to buy the Blu-ray.
